Seems simple enough. Going to attempt my first mosaic using APP. Great walk through. Thanks!

I have data for a nine panel mosaic. Would APP work doing 3 panels 3 times and then combining?
    Thanks,

@bobmiller6918 Yes sir. It should and that is the way they suggest it on the APP help pages.

If one has four panels, should they be done together? Or should we do Panel 1-1 and 1-2 and then seperately do Panel 2-1 and Panel 2-2. If the later, how do we tie the upper panels with the lower panels? TIA

@RLProctor12 With four panels, you should be able to do together. If you have a lot of subs, it may slow it down considerably. If it does bog down your system, you can create the two groups of panels individually and combine. Simply integrate the two groups separately, then load back into tab one under 'lights'. Would a video help?

After APP stacked and combined the panels is it still a linear Fits file that I could take into Siril to process? Also could I stack the different files in Siril then combine them in APP?

@davidgalemusic7447 Should be able to as you are still using FITS files.

Nice job. But i have an OSC and i use the dualband filter Ha-OIII. This is what i though,
Step 1: select in tab 0 extract HA and later OIII. Than load my files and do all steps in normal and intergrate.
Step 2: now i got 2 panels and each of them got HA and OIII.
Step 3: clear thw loaded files and load only the 2 panels of Ha files. And do all steps but in tab 4 mosaic like you show in your video. And select in tab 6 the LNC for overlap.
    Am i correct?

Update: On my first attempt to stack, I had noticeable overlaps at the bottom of the image, so I restacked paying meticulous attention to your instructions and voila, a satisfying first attempt at a 2P mosaic. Same target as yours, just a wider fov. Results at astrobin /bb9vfw/B/

    I like both

Thanks! Same here, like both versions. How would it look if you would increase the blue/green from the OIII channel?
How do you adjust the star colors when changing the weight/color of the narrowband channels?
BTW, very nice Mac… 64GB and 10 cores? If I may ask, which Mac is that? I am using APP on my MBP14”/M1Pro.

@WilliFromEarth Thank you! You're not really going to be able to do any star color adjusting in NB. You can add RGB data for the star colors but basically in NB, performing a star color calibration in Tools tab, will basically make the stars white. The Mac is a Mac Studio with the M2 chip.

@@GeorgiaAstronomy Thanks! That’s what I am typically doing. Fine-tuning in the Tools section. Not always very straight forward. I was hoping for maybe some other more robust setting. Nice Mac! Cool!
