It gives you such a wholesome feeling whenever you’re helping a new player get used to the game and making sure to help them along the way. For example, almost every player from Fallout 76 back when it first came out were helping new players by crafting armor for them and even giving them food/water/healing items.

Well... When you on a budget but bored af, ya kinda make do with what you can get.
That said, you can easily pay nothing and often get trash- thus paying in wasted time. Though when you do find a free game that is a gem and not a Pay To Play/Win nightmare? You cherish the find.

I like it when a story driven game has you play as the dude who just joins up with the main character. The story revolves around them, but you as player still push it along.

38:06 Yeah, this is me, I'm currently playing Watch Dogs 2, I've played the opening mission and some side missions, but I'm mostly going around getting cash and research points, so when I get around to Cyberdriver, I will be an expert. In Watch Dogs 1 I go through all the districts getting the collectables and side missions after unlocking CTOS in the Loop, so I won't be distracted by unlocking online. I used to focus just on the story, then I realized how much more powerful you are in the tricky bits if you do it this way.

Nope. In mmorpg i play you can just go to the full loot black zone right after tutorial. Nobody would ignore the squishy (Thats our name for lo def/hp) source of PK exp tho.
And about the healer one the "your class is what you wear" game style allow anyone to become healer. Once our tank changed his whole gear mid bossfight and started healing our second tank the boss locked onto. 3 seconds of stuff change, 6 secs of penalty for changing gear and he is healing.

I will still preorder games, however I will be weary until I know of gameplay and decent story. Cyberpunk had great gameplay, but was a buggy, Far Cry Primal had decent gameplay, but a crap story, Security Breach had crap gameplay, and a crappy story. Hogwarts Legacy, a game I was supposed to get preordered, had good gameplay, and a good story, and thus I was definitely going to preorder it. The trick is to learn from the studio, and trailers released.
