『BLEACH』（ブリーチ）は、漫画『BLEACH』を原作とするstudioぴえろ制作のテレビアニメ。テレビ東京系列他で放送された。2008年4月7日から2009年3月30日までアニメ530月曜枠にて傑作選の『BLEACH ベストセレクション』が放送された（オリジナルストーリーのバウント編は放送されなかった）。
登場人物と声優については、BLEACHの登場人物、護廷十三隊、バウント、虚、破面を参照。
放送1年目のシリーズ構成は3シリーズに分かれており、1シリーズにつき約20話前後の構成となっていた。このため、死神代行編を中心にやや駆け足的な展開となってしまい、原作との差が早く縮まり、結果的に原作単行本の発刊ペースを追い越してしまったことがある。その後に放送されたアニメオリジナルストーリーであるバウント編は、約1年に及ぶ長期のストーリーが展開された。同時にDVD構成も見直されて1シリーズにつき約20話という法則は完全に無くなっている。
バウント編後、原作が長期にわたって破面編が続いたため、他のアニメでよく見られる原作の合間を描いたオリジナルストーリーが挿入しづらくなり、原作の話が一区切り付いた所で長期のオリジナルストーリーを唐突に挟んだり（次回予告では大人の事情と説明されている）、扉絵の内容をアニメ化したこともあった。オリジナルキャラクターの各メディア上の扱いも良く、キャラクターソングが発売されたり、ゲームに登場したりと優遇されている。
Bleach (Japanese: ブリーチ Hepburn: Burīchi) is a Japanese anime television series based on Tite Kubo's manga of the same name. The series ran for a total of 366 episodes. Bleach was produced by Studio Pierrot and directed by Noriyuki Abe. Bleach's Japanese and English voice actors include some of the most credited and well known voice actors, including Masakazu Morita and Johnny Yong Bosch. The music was composed by Shirō Sagisu, who also composed the music for Neon Genesis Evangelion. A total of fifteen opening themes and thirty ending themes were used throughout the series, featuring a diverse group of Japanese artists
The anime adaptation of Bleach adapts Kubo's manga, but also introduces several original, self-contained story arcs. In Karakura Town, a 15-year-old high school student Ichigo Kurosaki becomes a substitute Soul Reaper when Rukia Kuchiki, a Soul Reaper, cannot fulfill her duties after engaging in battle with a particularly powerful Hollow. Although initially reluctant to accept the heavy responsibility, he begins eliminating Hollows in Rukia's place and during this time discovers that several of his friends and classmates are spiritually aware and have powers of their own: Uryū Ishida is a Quincy who can use spirit particles, Orihime Inoue possesses a group of protective spirits known as the Shun Shun Rikka and Yasutora Sado ("Chad") has strength equal to the Hollows encased in his tough right arm.

Now that we know Yachiru was Kenpachi's zanpakuto spirit, her behavior is so much more iconic. Kenpachi's zanpakuto is bad at direction. His zanpakuto spat on Ikkaki's head. His zanpakuto permanently lived on his shoulder.
