It's hard, because I personally like long-form videos especially as background noise but I don't know how interesting I am to hear for 10-15 minutes or more. I get a lot of complaints about it that people don't want to watch 15+ minutes for a pistol review, which I totally understand hence me trying to add timestamps in the video to guide those short on time. It doesn't help that TH-cam encourages longer videos.
If we are allowed to say blasters that released in previous years are still the best of the year then I'm just gonna keep saying the crossbow is the blaster of the year because that shit slaps
I just love breachers. Totally not tactical but it makes me feel like I’m the hero of some apocalypse game. And this will totally make me feel like that one scene from “Meet The Pyro”
I have to agree wholeheartedly that 2020 is starting off strong in terms of NERF Blasters. I just picked up a Takedown and _HOO BOY_ sawed-off shotguns never felt so good.
To get a better spread out of a shotgun blaster, that's when I use Buzz Bee Long Distance darts. They go everywhere, so it makes for a great way to fling shots in true shotty fashion.
I actuality prefer the lack of spread couse in my rules it takes 3 regular rounds to kill. (other than head shots) so that makes this an instant kill in my war rule and that's amazing to me!
A top prime slide could be made that trips the thumb lever as you prime it. (To speed up reloads.) Although you may need a replacement thumb lever for it to work well.
I literally cannot wait to see what you do with this blaster! I think I might go pick up a couple just to have them for when the crazy shit hits with mods on this one! Keep up the great work.
After a year and a half of yearning for this blaster unable to find it I struck gold, I found six of them all £5 each at a local tkmax, me and my brother instinctively bought two each and I am really happy with them, one will be left stock and the other is going to be masterkeyed to my armless crossbolt that I modded, going to run a scavenger loadout with high and low power blasting
As of the moment, all 3 Walmarts and the one Target in town do not carry it, and have no plans to carry it. My target still has doomlands blasters for full MSRP, to give you an idea of why I don't shop there...
Imagining a mini Ultra Sledgefire mod from MTB would be awesome. Exact same power in a t-i-n-y little shell. and an air compressor is pretty practical, by the time your done switching shells, the XBZ is done being pumped up.
Got mine today!!! And i liked the trilogy alot with 3d printed shells for all types of ammo. I love this blaster too and cant wait to see all you can do to mod it
I think a cool mod to this blaster would be to make something that would trip the breach opening lever when you prime it. I don't know how hard something like that would be to make but I think it would be a neat idea and make reloading faster.

"It's just a Nerf blaster, I promise." "He's got a Nerf blaster! Take him down!" Watching in 2021 because a friend decided to get one to use up some of his Amazon GC balance. Looking around places like Worker and NFstrike myself, there are no real "extras" for this. I am rather surprised. I did manage to find some upgrade springs which I may get as a gift for him later. He did buy the shell upgrade kit from Nerf, but both the blaster and extra shells are expected next week. But really surprised that Worker, Nfstrike, and even OoD have no spring or other upgrades or cosmetic mods for this. Or maybe they have a spring for something else that would work but don't list it? A "Spring Almanac: Guide to Foam Flinging Springs" book to have all springs, sizes, possible cross-compatibility would be a fun creation for people who don't mod but want to learn a bit.
Theres one thing thats keeping me watching all your videos, and its your choice of background music, and how loud it is, its like im playing a game on the side that has the same audio volume, and i just wanna pause one of them
I've asked a lot of people about this and never heard anything besides one comment or something every other week. The music is at -26db compared to the normal audio, and it's always something that fits well in the background. Maybe you're sensitive to it? In fact most of the time I decrease my voice volume as well. I don't see how it's distracting to you, I've heard TH-camrs with far more subs and far louder background music.

The fact that Nerf still supports creators that give them harsh (but needed) criticism shows how thick skinned they are; only time will tell whether or not they are also thick headed.
I would definitely make this into a carbine- or rifle-length blaster to lengthen the plunger tube. Plus, while not as cool as double-barrels, single-shot shotguns are great. Edit: Yeah, there’s the Sledgefire, but I prefer this blaster’s mechanism over the Sledgefire’s.
Had an idea: what if you glue the dart heads with a little net (not a big one small enough to fit in the barrel) load them in the shell, load the shell in the blaster and you have a net shooter.
Short answer - money to buy a new type. Long answer - probably some differences in performance or manufacturing. Plus the shells have more marketing on them by outer design
maybe durability, the new shells are thicker along with possibly other design changes, they're probably going to make this their standard shell system since these are reused shells from the trilogy
Hey, Trilogy already has a bid step up on the Sledgefire, in that you can get more shells for it. I'm at the point where if I could mod my Sledgefire to use the new shells, I happily would just so its easier to keep using.
I've been feeling the 'be careful' warning about open faced boxes ever since they largely moved to that. But for different reasons: Stolen Darts and blasters left primed or half primed in their packages because they don't tie down the priming mechanism. And I point that in the direction of Adventure Force, Nerf, and Zuru. I've seen so many half primed AF Crossbows and Falconfires/Snap Fire 2s (The breachloader, not the 'jolt with more meat' 3rd version or the original Snapfire 8) that it's not even funny. The former because it's hard to find where the 'charger' pull clicks back into place (as well as the trigger being hidden and the latter two because they tie it down so that the slide hits the first ratcheting point but then it's hard for a kid to finish the prime over the tying cord and...uh oh, you can't push the slide forward any more because it's locked in the first ratchet. It seems to affect the ring pull blasters the least because it's very OBVIOUS if it's primed but I've seen a Zuru Pistol with the recoil mechanism sitting there primed because the recoil mech makes it harder to pull the trigger when it is tied down. Remember when the Incisor had that thick cord that made it impossible to prime it in the package or that the Camo Roughcut has a cardboard box blocking the travel of its pump?
I picked one of these up at Walmart a few days ago and I already love it - maybe not enough to replace my BoomCo Burstwave, but still worth keeping around my collection. I'm still waiting for someone to make 3D printed shells for single Mega darts and Rival rounds, or at least some that won't break the bank Otherwise, I'm very happy with the stock blaster - especially for only $15 with additional shells that are easily available

Dang, if that handle was just a little bigger overall, and the cocking mech was a traditional slide, or at least pull-ring style, it would've been perfect. The range is about what was expected, can prolly get another 10ft or so with regular springer mods at least.

I saw this blaster in one shop for about 30 euros! And i am definetly saving up for it.

Nice review! For 3 dart shotgun blasters I prefer the buzzbee long range darts. The only thing they are good for.

That nerf gun can blast fast like a scout similar to the pistol with four shouts while in short range
