Oh my goodness, what is the OEM gasket goo made of? It's evil! Goof Off and a lot of scrubbing with microfiber eventually got it all off. An eraser wheel just smeared the black goo everywhere. The old housing had two holes melted in it from the cargo light bulbs. What a joke. Hopefully the new light will hold up and keep the rain out.

I have the same color mine is a 2002 just ordered the 3rd light and I have about 2 grand in upgrades that I want to do I need help on this

Most likely stuck on there from the previous seal bro, the OEM one only has 4 screws. We’re you able to get it out?

I’m pretty sure the bulbs are in “upside down” they definitely shouldn’t be pointing at the sky lol
The LED bulbs have no sides it’s all the same. It was the housing that was designed wrong. But it’s still better then the OEM in my opinion
Does the oem third brake light point more down? I'm debating on upgrading to leds AND this aftermarket third brake light or just upgrading to led's
