Dear Ms D: The entire Palestine is divided between The Jordanian Kingdom and the State of Israel. Jordan and Israel signed a peace treaty. The low intensity conflict is between the West Bank Arabs (formerly Jordanian citizens) and Jews. There is also the conflict between Israel and Gaza. Before 1967 Gazans were the residents of Al Misr (Egypt). Many of them (i.e., Al Masri families) came from the Nile. They were attracted to British Palestine. Rafah is a divided city. Its eastern part is in Gaza district and its western side is under Cairo's rule. There are dozens of tunnels connecting the two. Many goods and weapons come to the Gaza district as a contraband courtesy of the government of Al Misr (Egypt) and the multinational observers stationed in the Sinai according to the peace treaty between Al Misr and Israel. Sincerely
