In the past, hitting their combo early lead into a new combo line with reduced power, cards like apollousa and baronne are guaranteed in your basic uninterrupted combo line, unlike the azamina cards. If you have played recently (which you should), you would have noticed by now that diabellstar is a hand trap magnet and that you have to choose between azamina and the snake eye combo pretty much every game
First ROTA Ycs in the tcg but so far I'm happy to see Mulcharmies aren't a 3of auto include in the main decks. It's already better than maxx c in that regard.
My first big takeaway is that I recognize most of the names in topcut, and that's a really good thing in my opinion. That shows me that the better players are winning once again and skill is a lot more of a factor in this format than the last couple. While I'm all for new names in top cut, a few decks/formats really felt like it was "I opened shifter for the last 11 rounds." Either way, I'm curious to see what the other TOSS decks can potentially do.
@Lessonius Or, considering Ryan's placement and the cost of his list, you don't need to spend 1k+ to get results in the format. The fire king lists that have been foregoing the Fiendsmith package are gaining results with a considerably lower price tag. Why are the Snake-Eyes Azamina decks not being properly categorized? The decks are labelled "Fire king" and "rescue ace" when half the deck is snake-eyes azamina and maybe 7-8 cards are the variant archetype. Rogue deck doesn't equal rogue deck tho. For every example you gave in this video, i can think of another rogue deck that completly folds to Fuwa. Salamangreat is like the all time classic, so idk, is it really a rogue friendly card or more of a cherry picking friendly card.
Should we be happy that Sky Strikers can perform or horrified that the archetype is so overtuned that it has an almost evergreen appeal and power level.
Yes. The fact that there hasn't been many other decks that can just "update" their builds into a format to just adapt is honestly kind of disgusting. I'm just glad a deck I like playing is one of the few that CAN do that.
Skystriker is disgusting, like most other meta waifu archetype like tears tbh, but while tears used a lot of its engine and was quite consistent SS could care less and runs every generic it can think about, watch the deck it's literally just boardbreak.dek, same thing as older meta where ss was handtraps.dek (also it's probably the most popular deck of all time second only to BEWD and a huge moneymaker for ygo, so it was never actually hitted by the banlist)
@@stylesheetra9411 i have to say, my favourite thing about watching Ryan Yu's deck profile was that it wasn't even really anything special per say. It was straight up, i played sky strikers and board breakers and here are good cards you run this meta and that's it. His secret sauce was like the most boring answer but it made perfect sense and he definitely deserved the top, which is what made it so hilarious.

Fuwalos cannot have a good impact on the game imo. Solely because of its price. If it was a super or a common, i would seriously consider its impact with any pre-conception, but incentivizing players to be milked by konami isn't a good thing, no matter the impact on the degenerated decks of the format.
Konami offers a product. You are free to buy it or not. The entitlement of po or players feeling as if konami owes them good cards is astonishing. Yugioh is not a basic need and the game is not an ong. Play chess if you want "equality" in a game for a low price
@@easyygo3008 that's not what i said and you totally missed my point. Nobody said konami "owes" anybody anything, and i don't know at which point wealthyness/poorness was a valid criticism or judgement. I don't know how you missed that, but overpriced cards are one of the reasons the game hasn't got a lot more players throughout the years. Also, that kind of way of thinking is just straight up elitist, which has no point except making you look like a douchebag. Like what, "poor" people (pls define poor) are not allowed to play the game competitively ? That's bullshit reasoning. I don't know how you can think that, but card price has never been and will never be a way to balance a game. Nobody said i was forced to buy the product, you're right on that point....but when did I talk about that? Actually, when did I say i couldn't buy the goddamn cards? It's not my point It's because this game is not a basic need that konami misses the point thinking it's okay to proceed this way (printing chase cards almost exclusively in secret, shortprints). The result can only be pricing out players who cannot (or do not WANT) to spend hundreds of bucks in the game every year. This wouldn't be a good thing for the game nor the community. You don't even seem to realise you're fighting against your own side with this logic, because you're supposedly a consumer, not a konami shareholder.
@@ayham613 Well, if they throw Fuwaross, you don't have to go full combo.... As long as you have access to Memento Fusion and Sheeply, it's enough for Memento. And even if the hand is bricking, it's most likely bricked because you have handtraps anyway.....
Tenpai is unreliable. You are not going to pay for a trip and a playset of fuwalos and impulse only to play RNG the deck. You are better off playing azamina w/e pile which is a much better deck in every regard. Tenpai is mostly for newer players into competitive.
Funny people try to mask this because they don’t want to acknowledge how bad things are. Fire kings didn’t win, snake eyes did. Rescue ace did not top, snake eyes did. Stop trying to make it seem like there’s diversity when there isn’t
Fuwalos is worse than maxx c for the game. Maxx c fucks up all decks and is toxic of course but fuwalos creates a Situation where certain decks just arnt really effected and we all know its not the rogue decks. Centurion, labrynth like yeah wow. Lab has been relevant a million times at this point although obviously not as top contender but always up there. What normal deck plays around fuwalos though? Yeah right. Paleo or what. It doesnt care for many modern interactions yet every normal rogue deck is even worse now because other decks can play around fuwalos. I hate this card on so many levels.
Lmaooo bro yugioh is hysterical. Ya'll at the end of August; yesss 🙌🏼 this banlist is amazing snake eye is finally gone!! 😻 Snake Eye 1 month later: wins YCS immediately 🤣🤣🤣 you cannot make this shit up.
Coz turn 1 player can't drop fuwalos after they combo, also many deck can still build some half board under fuwalos but not under maxx C. That's why many ppl like it, josh included.
besides the drastic power difference between fuwa and maxx c, fuwa only hitting ED and Deck, despite still being extremely powerful, allows decks with different playstyle to metagame. Centurion is a very good example, it is still a very ED-centric deck, but its mechanic let it bypass a large portion of Fuwa whereas Maxx C would still heavily punish it. Maxx C doesn't "put Rogue in the spotlight", it just lets every deck have an "equal opportunity" to sack everyone, whereas splitting Maxx C into multiple cards allow decks that don't play the same way meta decks to capitalize on that.
@@Avermra Centurion is a special case as it summons in opponent's turn. Most rogue decks are still heavily hurt by fuwaloss: twins, madolche, tistina, etc. Is fuwaloss less bad for them than maxx c? Yes. That doesn't make fuwaloss not hurt them

Price has nothing to do with game balance. Also, budget players feeling entitled to good cards is co mm u nism and yugioh is not an ong
can't wait to go to my locals and lose to the guys who shelled out around $420 for a fuwalos playset when I can't even afford 1 as a crossout target :/
Worst day of my life
ik the main highlight is sky striker but dont act like fire king is easy to pilot and was a free win yk.. it certainly wasnt free more like 1300 bucks.....
haha good one!
Rogue deck doesn't equal rogue deck tho. For every example you gave in this video, i can think of another rogue deck that completly folds to Fuwa. Salamangreat is like the all time classic, so idk, is it really a rogue friendly card or more of a cherry picking friendly card.
It's pronounced a-za-mee-na
Ass-a-mee-na noted.
That is why I think fuwalos will never get banned, at maximum limited. It is strong but has many decks have way to counterplay unlike maxx c
Skystriker is disgusting, like most other meta waifu archetype like tears tbh, but while tears used a lot of its engine and was quite consistent SS could care less and runs every generic it can think about, watch the deck it's literally just boardbreak.dek, same thing as older meta where ss was handtraps.dek
(also it's probably the most popular deck of all time second only to BEWD and a huge moneymaker for ygo, so it was never actually hitted by the banlist)
@@telepathicdragon idk, I preferred ygo when it was its own thing, with deck with complex gameplay but high consistency, I played mtg in the past and grow bored as hell of goodstuff decks which most complex part of the gameplay was remembering that the opponent cards did and your mulligan game
@@stylesheetra9411 idk how you got that from what i said. i'm making fun of the fact that he played basically a straightforward strategy that he was comfortable with in the supposed doomed meta of mulchumy's and get's 2nd place cause he played a strategy that played well into chumys.
9:58 so you admit maxx c would be good for the game now?😅😅
Maxx c is different to fuwaloss. Ocg players hate maxx c and card will be banned in less than a year there.
Your point?
It's not my point
It's because this game is not a basic need that konami misses the point thinking it's okay to proceed this way (printing chase cards almost exclusively in secret, shortprints).
Nice video
You mean introducing cards that only allows the go 2nd shutdown board vomit makes the game less terrible?
Who knew!
TCG nerds getting hit with Budget maxx c is hilarious
Myopic md Andies when maxx c goes from 3 to 9 🫨
Current ygo cant escape from the roaches (including fuwa) konami already decided that approach, people need to stop the cope and just embraced it
fuwallos literally kills memento
I'm sad such a cool deck got caught in the cross fire
Uh... You do know that Memento is currently a tier 2 deck in OCG format right?
@@nobunogax2036 yeah but they cut fiendsmith AND if you want to full combo fuwallos draws AT LEAST 3 cards
Imagine the matchup against tenpai ?
Mememto is one of the deck that benefits the list from fuwalos.
The deck power level is just a bit too low
The deck does full combo under fuwalos giving 2 draws or 1 if you dont fear nibiru
@@ayham613 Well, if they throw Fuwaross, you don't have to go full combo.... As long as you have access to Memento Fusion and Sheeply, it's enough for Memento. And even if the hand is bricking, it's most likely bricked because you have handtraps anyway.....
Bro just play Tenpai
I hate this card on so many levels.
buhu
buhu
(I 100% agree with you)
pour one out to the Unchained players catching strays
Lmaooo bro yugioh is hysterical. Ya'll at the end of August; yesss 🙌🏼 this banlist is amazing snake eye is finally gone!! 😻
Snake Eye 1 month later: wins YCS immediately
🤣🤣🤣 you cannot make this shit up.
Everyone knew azamina cards would revive snake,-eyes. You are the one unable to see next set (or OCG)
@@easyygo3008 it was a joke you weirdo. Im well aware, thank you. Im one of the people who topped with it. Clown
1st
You hate to see it
Cringe deck
Interesting. When Maxx gets to put rogues in the spotlight you criticize it. But once Fuwa does it you like?
Haah. . .
Fuwa is NOWHERE NEAR the power level of MaxxC
Hence why they like it more
Coz turn 1 player can't drop fuwalos after they combo, also many deck can still build some half board under fuwalos but not under maxx C.
That's why many ppl like it, josh included.
How does maxx c put rogue decks in the spotlight???
It literally kills them
besides the drastic power difference between fuwa and maxx c, fuwa only hitting ED and Deck, despite still being extremely powerful, allows decks with different playstyle to metagame.
@@Avermra
Centurion is a special case as it summons in opponent's turn.
Most rogue decks are still heavily hurt by fuwaloss: twins, madolche, tistina, etc. Is fuwaloss less bad for them than maxx c?
Yes. That doesn't make fuwaloss not hurt them
I dislike Sky Striker so much, please no Sky Striker at locals. I’d rather face Tenpai decks.
Why? sky striker is much more fair, at least against them you know your probably not getting OTK'ed turn 2 even if they stop your combo or break your board.
yeah i agree at least tenpai can destroy and annihilate your life even if you have a full board and negate a couple of times
@@frig7014 they have steal/negates with such little to no effort, the mobilize searches literally anything they could possibly need AND it’s not once per turn. That deck is broken. They should have never took Mobilize off limited.
@@frig7014 Sky Strikers OTK’s all the time. Once the link monster attacks, it link climbs into an OTK. F**k you mean????
@@ThatsSoGiorgio the linkage otk only works against an empty board and requires you go first for an attack with raye, ive played the deck a lot and the otk is very inconsistent, your almost always going into a grind game that lasts 4-5 turns
Main fuwa or ra sphere for lab?
