Thanks for a great intro to the device! It is very addictive. Quite a bit to learn. Used it at couple gigs and folks were fascinated and complimentary. Waaaay lighter than hauling 2-3 congas (and assorted toys) around. There are some situations where it wouldn't be appropriate to use digital percussion, but for everything else this is pretty darn impressive. Not cheap, but you get an incredible variety of sounds and creative options for less than the cost of a first rate pair of congas. Wouldn't surprise me to hear these units are on back order. Probably on a few Xmas gift lists.
I wish it had as many pads as HPD-15 does. Doesn't seem like much of an upgrade, considering I only use it as a midi controller. Back in the 90s they were truly innovative.
good video , I am waiting for the hpd 15 I paid for it and everything , is this a different beast in your opinion , and would you rather have this or the hpd 15 ?

Are the pads better that the Handsonic 10? I also just use mine as a MIDI controller. Nothing touches it for sensitivity!
Can this record midi notes into a daw and the midi notes from the daw triggers the HPD-20 samples?
