- My name is Bobby and I'm theletterisb. Now what is theletterisb all about? I've created this channel with the intention of creating the very best video editing tutorial platform on TH-cam. I'm sick and tired of all these boring, not straight to the point and way too long editing tutorials that we have to click through, just so we can get a little bit of educational value out of it.
For this reason I decided to do it the right way. Create short, exciting tutorials, teaching you the very best techniques to create professional video content.
But wait there is even more to talk about! This channel has evolved into so much more than just editing tutorials. At some point within my career I decided that I would like to use my acquired skills as a teacher, and share all my knowledge as a consultant when it comes to filmmaking, video editing, productivity.
With this vision in mind and I'm planning to release a lot of exciting content in the future. I'm Bobby and I'm theletterisb.

Thank you SO much for uploading this. I just recently got back into editing, and I was starting to believe that the only way to get effects like this was to have sapphire plugins (which I don't and won't anytime soon). The transition looks beautiful and I cannot wait to try it out, thank you for taking the time to make this!

@@magentamage Look up my other tutorial "How To Create Beautiful Smooth Roll Transition - VEGAS Pro Tutorial" on TH-cam. Follow all the steps but make sure to let the "Pan & Crop" animation go from left to right and not up and down. Also don't forget to change the blur from vertical to horizontal. Happy editing!

Thanks for the tips. It looks very cool. I’m new to Sony Vegas pro. May I ask you questions. Does Sony Vegas pro support MKV? And mpeg? I have videos that ripped from camcorder and they are in mpeg format. They cannot Import into window movie maker. I wonder does Vegas pro support mpeg? I’m looking video edit software that can import mpeg files like one from camcorders because I have quite a lot camcorder videos that I would like to edit and then burn to dvd. Please help. Thank vey much in advance.

Can you save the effect you created and apply it to any other clips so you don't need to reinvent the wheel each time? Thinking of getting Vegas Pro 14 as it's $20 on humble bumble at the moment.

So , I took 2 clips to try out this technique, problem is I did everything like you did in the video but in the first clip it keeps replaying the Roll Transition ... Like, for 20 sec you keep seing the Roll transition instead of being at the point where the 2 clips meet.. Can someone help me out ! ? :)

Is there anyway to do this but have the screen roll down only to the beats in the song I'm using and giving it a nice screen pump for each beat? My video contains a rap song with a good beat to it and I want to make my video look real nice :)

How to make the roll slower?
Hey there, either you can play around the vertical synchronization of the video effect "tv simulator" or you can simply adjust the gap between the keyframes of the video effect as well as the length of both clips. I hope this was helpful to you! Have a great day and a happy new year!

nice but i want the roll effect to happen in the same clip not to transition to another clip
you lost me on the keyframe part.how do you count the frames and determine where the tenth frame should be?
You simply scroll to make the timeline a little bit better to see and use your arrow keys to move between keyframes forward or backwards. Then you simply count them. I always decided how many frames I use for a transition depending on how long I want the transition to be.

Check out my newest tutorial, this will show you a even easier methode to create an awesome smooth roll effect. Also you can do the effect from left to right by simply starting the Pan & Crop from the left and finish it on the right, don't forget to use the Horizontal Blur instead of the Vertical one to create the motion blur. My answer should make sense as soon as you watch the video. I hope I could help you!

what does "frame" mean? you say frame and then skip like 5 frames??
