I wonder if it would have been better to use acrylic paint since it would dry faster and you wouldn't have had to use a heat gun. But I love this technique...using "opposite" die cuts with the velum sandwiched in between. ... P.S. for gluing fine detailed die cuts, you need a sheet of "micro dots". Stacey Park of Scrapbooking Made Simple sells them at a very reasonable price. I use them all the time.
