This album did something magical with me.. I listened to Trance and Techno for many years. Then i moved to deep house and electronic. This is none of them but the first time i listened to these songs.. I felt love.. Not that kind of love between people.. Those butterflyes you get when you enjoy something so much that you would like to pause your life in that moment for a long time.. That love for music, that can keep you going.. This and many more i got from listening to this album.. Sory, i am from Slovakia and english was a bit far from me my whole life, but i had the urge to express my feelings.
Pavel Bartoš I I found this album on Monday and I have listened to it over 50 times in 5 days , if you find anything else like this please respond with the name

The thing that keeps me coming back to Villagers is just how each song has it's own place. Each song feels unique, and every album they've released has fit in with some moment or important piece of my life. Every new song is genuinely something I look forward too, and this new album is already sounding fantastic. Not sure if I can speak for everyone, but I know I'll be listening to this again, and again. Bless you Conor.
Insane how many times I'm coming back and back to Villages thinking it is genius! I knew it when it came out, and now on shuffle it came back -- and now I cannot resist to express it also here. It is interesting how comforting it is while being far from conventional. Making this globe a better place
God is with you conor, i literally play your music on guitar in town now and then, both 'noone to blame' and 'fool' ive been performing and when people ask about it i always refer to you. Love. -Dan.
One of the best songs of the year! This is very unique and I like the variation of the subject and how each variation thereafter builds on the precedent, leading to an epic, stunning ending. The use of instruments is very clever as well, especially the ambience resembling birds chirping.
Love it so much, love Villagers. I remember once, last year, I took this ferry boat from Dublin to cross the irish sea, to finally meet a friend in Liverpool. While I was kind of lost, rs, in one of the 2 trains from Holyhead, I saw that Villagers was about to perform on Wales the next day and, for a moment, I had this glimpse and thought about jump off the train. By anyway, I didn't, but I am certain one day I'll have my shot :)
Don't skip swimming lessons. The waves won't care about you pretending to swim, only the ability to swim will help you in the ocean or other bodies of water where standing is not viable.

He has those magic melodic twists which, combined with those sometime swirling lyrics put you in his nightime-seaside Wurlitzer

This an amazing album and deserves way more recognition.
Reminds me of THE WAVES (in a good way). Same kind of dynamic. Poignant plus powerful.
Hands down the best of the new songs so far
