Had the 13PM in Sierra Blue for 2 years and just swapped the battery with Apple 2 months ago. I’m shocked of how long the battery lasts with normal day usage. Previously I had to charge it twice a day and now I put it to bed with 75 to 80%. Would highly recommend replacing a battery instead of burying a new phone every year. It’s not worth it and your wallet will thank you for it.
you're absolutely right....13 pro max is STILL talked heavily about till this day... i'm glad i didn't upgrade yet either.... my battery health is at 81% after 3 years..... i'm anxious for a new battery....can't wait.... i'll keep it 3 more years.
I’ve had the iPhone 13 Pro Max since it launched and it still has 86% battery health. Never had a problem with it and I can’t justify buying a new iPhone. I’ll wait until the iPhone 20 releases 😃
GREAT video! Thanks for making it so useful. I’m sticking with my 13 Pro Max and based on my wife’s views of her 16 Pro Max that she uses for work,I think you have captured the differences perfectly. For me, no reason to upgrade my own daily workhorse mobile. Still one of the greatest iPhones ever made, in my opinion (between us, our family has had every version since the iPhone 4S).
Nice Video ! I've been using my iPhone 13 Pro Max since 2022, and I'm delighted with it. My battery is at 87% health, but even so it lasts me 2 days without any problems. It's probably one of the most robust iPhones designed by Apple. Except for the screen issues, but that's specific to certain regions, my French model is not affected.
I have the iPhone 16 Pro max which I upgraded from the SE 2nd gen and I love it the battery lasts me from 2-3 days depending on how I use it and the camera is top notch.
I've been using the 13 Pro Max since it came out. Great phone with no real issues, even while running betas. I plan to get the 16 Pro Max because I'm a tech guy, always looking to try out the latest and greatest. LOL Also, my carrier offers great deals when upgrading.
I had a sierra blue 13 pro max. Honestly one of the best iPhone colours that Apple released, in my opinion. Part of me wishes I kept it instead of trading it in for a black 14 pro max (and later replacing that with a 16 pro max)
I still have that Sierra Blue Pro Max since the day it launched, still serves me very well and the battery life is still ok with 85% health. Camera and speed are still good enough for me i just wish i had USB C on it too. I used to upgrade every 1-2 years but lately phones got to the point where they pretty much have everything, the design and hardware differences are too small to give me a good reason to upgrade it again and it's the same with Samsung and the others

I went from the 13 pro max to the 16 pro max. At first I thought it wouldn’t be a “upgrade” but the Dynamic Island itself feels like an upgrade and Apple intelligence. Glad I got it and using the 13 pro max as a 2nd phone.
Just today upgraded from 13 pro max sierra blue to 16 pro max desert titanium. Love it, really like new screen but 13 pro max it’s a beast still could easily replace a battery and go for couple more years. 😊
I still think the 13 pro max battery was the best and I own the 16 pro max. I think the 16 pro max has good battery but once it goes from 50 down it falls fast in battery
Funny. I was just setting up a used iPhone 13 Pro Max earlier for someone. I really miss the polished metal from the 12/13/14 Pro series. It’s still of the very best from Apple.
Upgraded from the 13 Pro Max and I love it as well, but I must admit I believe my 13 pro max could have lasted atleast two more years with updates. I had it since release.
If you're coming from 13 Pro, it's really worth it to Upgrade from 13 Pro to 16 Pro Max. But if you're coming from 13 Pro Max. It's not really worth it! I'm a user of 13 Pro Max for 3 years and now a 16 Pro Max user. There's no massive difference. Maybe you'll notice the difference for just 1 week! But after that. No surprise at all. I should have wait the 17 Pro Max with a redesigned (rumor). But still enjoying the AI and Chatgpt of 16 Pro Max.
How about the camera, USBc allowing easier downloading your data and pictures to a ssd or external drive, better screen brightness. Will agree the 13PM is excellent if these things aren’t important.
@ Honestly, i did my own Camera/Photo Comparison for the both Phones. 13 Pro Max Photos looks natural and really really not Bad! And 16 Pro Max Photos looks so Amazing and i only hate one thing is that Yellowish of all the Photos! Even if, the Lighting was white and even in the outside camera shots. You will notice this kinda yellowish. Not just because of the True tone or something. I used both true tone for the phones. Battery performance! Same as my Iphone 13 Pro Max when it's new. 6am to 8pm maximum. Open cell data all day! I just shifted to 16 Pro Max because of my Iphone 13 pro max battery health decreased to 80%. But, i can still use it all day 6am to 2pm. USBc is great added feature. About the brightness, since i'm working in the office (indoor) i really didn't notice the differences. Brightness of the 16 Pro Max is way more brighter than 13 Pro Max! Of course. But, i don't use it both under the sun so, i can't see the difference.
Since the iOS 17.2, The Qi2 wireless charging support have been added for the iPhone 13 models and iPhone 14 models but the iPhone 12 models have a limited support to the 5W Qi wireless charging support due to it's own original MagSafe charging.
I still enjoy using my iPhone 13 Pro Max. Had it since it lounched. There's no need to upgrade. Looking forward to keeping it for at least 2 more years. My battery health is still at 87%
I really liked my 13 Pro Max. I turned it in when I upgraded to the 16 Pro at Verizon on the first day. They offered a $1000 rebate for any phone. I regret not having turned in my old iPhone 5S and kept the 13PM as a reliable backup device.
The 13 Pro Max is a beast, I love the camera and even though the battery health is 84% I still get a full days use out of it with 30 - 40 % charge still left. I will replace the battery at some stage and then it will be good to go for another 10 years. Looking at the photos, I think I prefer the 13 to the 16.
I upgraded from normal 13 Pro to 16 Pro Max. To be honest 13 Pro was still fine probably for another 2 years, except the battery that was at 79% health. I enjoy having a bigger screen, i always had big screens but when i bought 13 Pro my job involved movement and walking and having a big phone in my pocket wasn’t the best option. Now my job it’s different and that’s not a problem anymore. Basically i’m still a truck driver but i don’t manually unload/load the trailer each day by myself anymore. Back to phones, 13 Pro was such a good generation, the only essential feature you miss it’s type-c usb. Finally my iPhone doesn’t need a special cable. Otherwise decent updates but not a revolutionary change. Personally didn’t plan the upgrade but i was in an Apple Store, liked the size, small bezel, rounded titanium edges and the colour. Natural titanium looks great. All of this until i put a Rockform case on it, same like i have on 13 Pro. Now looks identical except bigger. 😂😂😂
I'm experiencing low volume issue. I've compared the speaker sound between the 16 Pro Max and the 13 Pro Max. The 13 Pro Max is noticeably louder, whether I'm listening to music or making phone calls, especially when it comes to the earpiece. I can't figure out what's wrong. I took my phone to an Apple Store in Saudi Arabia, where they ran a diagnostic using an app on a laptop, but no errors were found.
Use a tooth brush and clean the debri from the mesh or use the old needle trick by sticking a needle through the speaker grill that worked for me and a lot of people that thought their iPhone were faulty sometimes the insulation from the water protector (iPS 68) around the speakers can make the sound seemed muffled
I have microphone distortion on my base 16 and they ran the diagnostics too - no errors found. I've assured them theres something wrong - even sent them all of the audio and video evidence of it and the engineers claimed they can't hear any issue, while everyone I know who I've played it for, can hear it clear as day. Very frustrating. My replacement 16 has the exact same issue.
Definitely iPhone 16 Pro Max is the best piece of tech but iPhone 13 Pro Max was majestic when it came out especially in the alpine green which was my personal favourite. Btw, a great video Aaron. Really a worthy comparison.

I almost bought a 15 Pro Max because they were on sale for a few hundred dollars off. I think I'll wait for next year and get the 17 instead. My 13PM is still holding up great
Using the 13 PM right now. When I upgrade to the 17 PM or 18 PM or Ultra , I will buy it from Canada or France. I got have a SIM Card Tray in my daily driver because I travel a lot.

I upgraded from a 13 Pro Max to a 16 Pro max. My battery health was at 79% and the screen gave out at one point which Apple thankfully replaced for free. It was a good phone, but it was time for an upgrade.
I would say the changes in the 16 coming from a 13 aren't enough to be honest. Screen, battery and all that are so, so close that it's literally nit picking at this point. Cameras are better on the 16 for sure but I don't know if you could clearly tell on a side-by-side unlabelled comparison. At this point in tech it feels like 5 years is the point to upgrade
13 pro max sierra blue here. I’m not upgrading until I absolutely need to. My battery is on 95% capacity and I can get 2-3 days on a charge. Not to mention it’s so close to being paid off. lol 😂
@ nope, I bought it new a few months before the 14 series released. I keep my battery between 20-80% and rarely charge over 80%. The annoying part is you can’t set a charge limit on the 13 series like the new 16 models have. So I just try to watch it and unplug it around 80%. I’m not much of a power user so I get 2-3 days on a charge but I can push it and drain it in one day if I’m using it a lot. Also it’s mostly on WiFi 90% of the tine too.
@@J.B-is8fb okay so it must be less used and yeah mostly at home that too on wifi socbegter stability is for sure , well for that 80% limit or even 90% limit , make a shortcut bro , it will notify you with a sound or siri will announce that it has reached 80% or whatever, which u can see on TH-cam but yeah just giving u suggestion that honestly it doesn't work much believe me it's just a gimmick , it actually depends on how u r using ur phone , what settings to be turned off which consume battery , also what apps u use , whether on data or wifi , whether or not dark mode is there or not been used by you nd much more things , and all these effective settings are there on TH-cam, but That 80% is not that much effective coz I have 15 plus and 15 pro max at home , nd 15 plus being used effectively with 100% charge with all useless setting turned off like iphone analytics , background app refresh etc.. nd not 80% retains 98% bh still after 1 yr 1.5 months whereas 15 pro max with 80% limitation is on 87% after 1yr only used on 5g mostly [less wifi ]no settings being turned off or any precautions wih AOD on sometimes, so you see the difference it's all about effective usage
My 13 Pro Max will easily last me until the the 17 Pro Max comes out and if I decide not to go with the 17 Pro Max I’ll just get the battery replaced. Yes, it’s that good, Lol. Also, I prefer the cameras 📸 on the 13 Pro Max.
13 pro max was solid year they made it too good. I upgraded from it and keep it as a second phone with 16 pro max. I could’ve went on another 3 years easily and waited for 19
FYI, I have both there’s absolutely no real world difference. They’re the exact same phone. The 13 is the phone to go with. Do not get a 16 complete waste of money. 0:05
I feel like people should wait longer to upgrade if they want more noticeable differences. For example instead of going from a 13 pro max to 16 pro max they should go from 13 pro max to like a 19 pro max in the future. 5-7 year upgrades are where it’s at atp for those wanting massive changes.
That freezing happens quite often for me on my 16 Pro Max… but only in certain apps like Safari. That would almost never happen on my 13 Pro so that’s quite odd.
I am choose 16Pro Max white colour, with 1TB internal storage, and my humble opinion, this is THE BEST iPhone ever. Until come next year iPhone 17Pro Max, with new camera setup, we hope!
Even though battery life is on 80% and I've a couple dead pixels I am Not upgrading my iPhone XR. It still get the latest iOS updates. If Apple decides that it won’t get the next update I will eventually upgrade.
I’m torn man. I have the 13 pro and I’ve loved it. But I f’ed it up a while ago.. The back is completely broken plus one of the camera lenses. Haven’t checked how much it would cost to fix it. It works besides that though. Next thing is, in EU and I know from what I’ve read Apple intelligence won’t be available in my country until after April 2025. So maybe I should wait. But dang I kinda don’t want to wait 10 months or so. And the 16 pro max really does look amazing. what to do ;//
think would've used another background so the dynamic island could be visible, definitely one of the most "noticeable" changes, but with your background you make it non existent.

Thanks for the vid but will stay with the 13 pro max.
Have a alpine green 13 pro max. Great phone. Keeping till 17
Best and most durable iPhone for me was regular 12. This phone was a beast.
At 1:37 I thought the iPhone tower was so funny
Anyone having issues with Maill app notifications? I'm not getting the sound whatever I try to do. Happened after 18.2 update on 16 Pro
I'm having the same issue
@@Mattened So it looks like I finally repaired it by removing and adding the Gmail account into Mail app, or today is just better day for the app.
I still have my iPhone 13 Pro. Though I love the specs of the iPhone 16 Pro.
I have a 14 plus on iOS 18.3 beta 1 no problems at all
I have the 13 pro for work and I love this phone.
this is exactly why i'm glad i didn't upgrade yet......iphone 13 pro max this STILL in the conversation 🔥🔥🔥💯💯💯
I got a 13 Pro and I’m waiting on the 17 Pro to update
My 13 Pro Max will easily last me until the the 17 Pro Max comes out and if I decide not to go with the 17 Pro Max I’ll just get the battery replaced.
Yes, it’s that good, Lol.
Also, I prefer the cameras 📸 on the 13 Pro Max.
13 pro max was solid year they made it too good. I upgraded from it and keep it as a second phone with 16 pro max. I could’ve went on another 3 years easily and waited for 19
i have 13 pro max about 3 years!!! its a great device
We have both 13pm and 16pm colors. I think I will keep the 13 pm as backup phone
Totally different phones. 13PM was great but 16PM is totally different offering so much more.
I love my 13 Pro Max silver.
Stainless steel ❤
FYI, I have both there’s absolutely no real world difference. They’re the exact same phone. The 13 is the phone to go with. Do not get a 16 complete waste of money. 0:05
I about figured this. Still using my 13 pro max now… the AI features of the 16 seem gimmicky to me.
If this is your genuine opinion about the phones then you wasted money by buying a Pro Max. Get a non Pro iPhone or even a flip phone for that matter
I feel like people should wait longer to upgrade if they want more noticeable differences. For example instead of going from a 13 pro max to 16 pro max they should go from 13 pro max to like a 19 pro max in the future. 5-7 year upgrades are where it’s at atp for those wanting massive changes.
Thank you Aaron 😊
A dislike for a 3 min ad
Hi Aron, could you do the iphone 16 pro vs 14 pro (not max)? I k now there's a few out the but the Zollotech edit is always the best. Thanks
MOST INTERESTING VIDEO. Rly )) And thanks for that ))
That freezing happens quite often for me on my 16 Pro Max… but only in certain apps like Safari. That would almost never happen on my 13 Pro so that’s quite odd.
My decision to upgrade my 13 pro max to 16 pro max was justified by this Video. Thanks Aaron.
16 pro max seems like another 13 pro max year to me. It will be goated
In feb i upgraded from an xr to 15 pro max other than the heating issue and battery health already 91 i feel xr was way more vfm 🤡
Still on my iphone 13 pro max alpine
IPhone 13 is the best
My mum has an iPhone 13 Pro Max
iPhone 13 PM 🔥is a GOAT 💀
I am choose 16Pro Max white colour, with 1TB internal storage, and my humble opinion, this is THE BEST iPhone ever.
Until come next year iPhone 17Pro Max, with new camera setup, we hope!
Even though battery life is on 80% and I've a couple dead pixels I am Not upgrading my iPhone XR.
It still get the latest iOS updates. If Apple decides that it won’t get the next update I will eventually upgrade.
I bought. My 15 pro max cash no worth thr upgrade to the 16 pro max
Keep bringing up PWM. Thank you! 🙏🏼
13 mini still rocks :)
And the 16 pro max really does look amazing. what to do ;//
Will the iPhone 13 Pro Max be worthwhile as an additional iPhone in 2025?
Yes it will still be good in 2025.
Thanks! I will get one in 2025 hopefully. 👍🏻
Must be a slow day
Let me guess. 16 pro max?
Not necessarily
I went back to my 13 Pro Max there are actually few differences n I love my 13 PM so bad I downgraded back to it💯🤞🏽
think would've used another background so the dynamic island could be visible, definitely one of the most "noticeable" changes, but with your background you make it non existent.
Ip13 pm LPDDR4X 6GB/ ip16 pm LPDDR5X 8GB
I went from an 11 to a 16 pro max I love it
I feel like this is exactly the model that you should upgrade from
Too big beautiful phones. Best ones but the size is just too big.
