This presents a mere taste of what one's soul might experience at being called through the Narrow Gate and hearing the Celestial Choir welcoming the new soul into God's Beatific Vision. It brings tears to my eyes imagining what it might be like for those of us who may come to know The Father's glory. Beyond all senses and imagination. O Come let us adore Him!
Dr. Mack Wilberg, I salute you because of your artistic ability to compose and to arrange choral and piano music..You are a gift to the WORLD...THE FILIPINO MUSICIANS HONOR YOU AS ONE OF THE BEST ARRANGERS IN THE WORLD TODAY.
Every so often I come back and listen to this again for the pure joy of it. It brings me to tears every time. First, Mack Wilberg's arrangement is genius. Second, these choirs and instrumentalists from Iowa put such emotion and love into it. Just wonderful. Frankly, the MTC doesn't hold a candle to this ensemble in the beauty of this performance.
Wow, did you see the joy on the conductor's face. When your conductor looks like that - all is well! Love this song, arrangement is outstanding as is the choir and orchestra! Bless His Holy Name!
I had the privilege of performing this arrangement being directed by Mack Wilberg. This is easily in my top ten songs I have performed in a lifetime of choral singing. You guys did a terrific job with it.
They did it good justice, but the version of America's choir ( the Mormon Tabernacle Choir ) for which the music was originally arranged by its director- Mack Wilberg, it is BY FAR SUPERIOR. NO Q's asked.

Beautiful music. I love the conductor; there's a man who loves his job!
Thank You Mack! Every time I listen to this I say Wow!!!
To have another church and three choirs take one of Macks' arrangements and use it to glorify God is beautiful in and of itself.

Goosebumps! Such an excellent arrangement of this well-loved hymn! Beautifully performed. Thank you!
Look for the face of God in the winter of discontent, as well as in the summer of joy. He is the God for all seasons!

I know this tune, but grew up with a completely different (and equally memorable) one (Presbyterian)
Magnificent! I hope there is a recording of this somewhere. I'd buy it in a heartbeat!
I like it
Where did you get the brass parts? I have one trumpeter and would like even just a trumpet part (remainder accompanied by organ).
Hi: I asked the conductor and his reply was "All instrumental parts are rental only through Oxford/Boosey & Hawkes".
