How often should I feed 3 and a half week old puppies???? I’ve searched for it but it doesn’t really give me an answer, it sometimes says 6 hours some times 3 sometimes 4 hours??? Also if a puppy is constipated can I start to wean him? Should I give him a drop of olive oil? Also if a puppy had pneumonia can I put him back with the litter after 2 weeks of giving medicine(clavamox)? Also it ultra 24 milk replacer mixed with a little bit of victor high pro plus and a little dyne good for starting to wean pups? I would really appreciate some answers!!!

Please, I need help. My puppy has 16 days of being born, and she’s so small she fits in one hand. Smaller than your pup here. She hasn’t pooped in more than 48 hours. We’ve tried enemas, cleaning the butt, rubbing the belly. Our vet prescribed two medicines to help release the intestinal tract and she’s in the second day taking them and nothing comes out, even if the pup takes position to try to poop. Something is definitely blocking the way but it doesn’t come out with neither the enema, nor the medicine. She’s starting to fade despite we keep her fed and hydrated. Is there any other way? Please. She’s the last of the litter to survive. Anyone with suggestions could be appreciated.

Very small. Think of a baby chihuahua for comparison. Is it safe still, that specific syringe for this tiny pup size?

i’ve done three enemas today and my 13 day old frenchie still won’t poop and it’s been 36 hours. the second enema i did he made a small poop but it wasn’t much at all. my vet usually gets him to go in like three minutes after an enema, his litter mates needed one too and they went a couple minutes after with stimulation, i’ve ran him under warm water and done stimulations with warm water and a cotton ball, and three warm water enemas. i’m wondering how long is safe for him to not go before problems can arise my vets closed tomorrow so i’d have to wait another full 24 hours (if he still doesn’t make a bm).

They’re always so constipated and I nurse them on the mom every 2 hours. I’ve tried the karo, warm cotton balls, and the mom licks them. The only thing that worked was the enema. Usually that early they can't poop. Mom licks and eats so that keeps everything clean. That can give the illusion that they aren't pooping. My pups area stayed clean until they could poop on their own and poop was everywhere after that.

I have a question for you ?, My Frenchie gave birth 4 days ago, she had 7 pups in total, all seemed healthy & doing well but unfortunately I found one dead in the basket,away from the other pups,I feel guilty cause I did see it on its back in the middle of the basket but just thought it was sleeping as all of the sleep on there back !, Bit of a shock as wasn't expecting it & now I have a pup that's always crying,moving around a lot, though she maybe constipated so just picked a thermometer with some coconut oil up her but & she had a little poo after I took it out, bit she's still crying, before I did that procedure her but did look very sore 😱 what can I do? The constant crying is so upsetting 😭. I've also massages her belly, she is more comfortable on her back for a while but I'm so stressed as she's upsetting the other pups & they start crying too !. So what do you think about brown jelly-like poop with yellow seeds in it? He seems to be gaining weight, very active, pink gums, etc. He is bottle fed goat milk and electrolytes. He weighs 11 oz at 4 days old, and is fed 7-10 ml every 2-3 hours. Also he was with mom for 2 days before he was orphaned so he got the first milk from her, and he’s on a new diet with me. Is this normal? Is this cause for concern? What should I do?

Omg the most helpful video, I did the warm water clean than followed with the 1ml syringe, within 30 second it was a water fall of puppy poop!!!

I would say use corn starch because corn starch will take that irritation from the bum away quickly and the redness goes super quick

OMG! That's a soapsuds enema! Did this all the time in PEDS. You can use castile soap too.

It was washing up liquid that he added. Just a little dab. I did this with my pups. Worked a treat. About a quarter of a syringe of water worked
