It won't be too long before I'm in base and I can't wait to jump this exact canyon. I just need to get the rest of my 200 skydives then 50 wingsuit jumps and a first jump base course and I'm all set!!! hoping for that to be done in the next year to year and a half. Can't rush too quickly although it's tempting.
Awesome video. Much respect. I'm trying to work out what's going on in the 2 clips around 1.50ish? It looks like they're climbing up over the top of the cliff.. is that true? If so, is it the tail end of a swoop and climb manouver after jumping from the chopper? Surely it's not rising air (thermic / dynamic lift)... is it?
Sorry to hear about Matty Kenny today. RIP I'm not an expert at all, but isn't there more lift in the warmer months with the heat coming off the desert floor?
+Sean McClue No. There's actually Less overall(Higher Density Altitude) to utilize to produce Lift. This is one of the reasons that planes engines work better in colder temps.
Are these all more technical lines as most of what's found out west, or are there any more beginner terminal type exits? do you suspect at some point here we'll stop having to take eurotrips to learn the art? Assuming Yosemite never opens.
@KAVU, Isn't Paria Canyon designated Wilderness? Did you guys get permits to land in Wilderness? Or were you outside the designated Wilderness? If not, it's a shame to promote illegal use of wilderness areas. If you don't care about the letter of the law, I'd think KAVU would at least care about the spirit of the law.

@🤠 Yes I spent around 5K to get a skydiving A license and 58 jumps it’s very expensive but it’s worth it

chrrybm8 Pacific northwest has been opened up, also CA has jumps but they are hard to get to
