      this is waynes world they are just living in it...this trial is comparably small potatoes when you look at other cases he has handled. this trial is just more publicized which probably just makes the witnesses hes cross examining feel like they are being dragged out into deep water and slowly drowned. it is fascinating to watch how he comes out walking slowly and kind of fumbling his words and before the witness can even see the giant web being wove around them they are already trapped.

      @LOLVTECFAG 2 ปีที่แล้ว +52

      The purpose of an expert witness has nothing to do with "witnessing" anything. It is just the term that is used.
      An expert witness is supposed to be a subject matter expert in his/her field of study to give an expert account of a topic in the case. This is why there are many objections during the examinations of the expert witnesses because they should not be giving their opinion outside of anything that does not relate to their field of expertise.
      Regardless, this dude seems to be a subject matter expert of doing coke prior to a courtroom testimony.

    Wayne Dennison’s presentation and style may not be as impactful as Camille’s, but he’s handled all the expert witnesses brilliantly which I think is much harder to do than we realise - because he’s basically challenging experts in their own fields and poking holes in their testimonies, when he himself knows nothing about their field. He doesn't know nothing about their field. He's just not an expert in their field. His cross examination was excellent, and demonstrated that he thorougly understood some of the concepts the experts were testifying about. When you cross examine, you never ask a question in which you don't know the answer to. You either extract testimony favorable to your side, or you impeach. Mr. Dennison did both. He researched all of the issues that were testified to. He had a good understanding of the concepts, IMO.

    I am a mental health nurse and this IS NOT "what we do in clinical medicine", having a direct one on one consultation/MSE (Mental State Examination) with a patient is crucial when evaluating the presence of cognitive impairment. Knowing whether an individual is under the influence of drug/alcohol is also extremely important (I'm sure its obvious) as this will greatly affect the findings.
    Comfortably evaluating someone that you not only haven't consulted with or have spoken to but base your findings on scenes in movies they have acted in (ie not in a clinical setting) is beyond ridiculous and unethical practice.
    I don't know the standards of practice guidelines in America but in Australia you would immediately be stripped of your medical licence.
