Jan, I came from a much smaller dairy farm in Quebec. After I went into the Navy in 1953, my folks took in a young Dutch couple to help, this couple eventually bought our farm and became very involved in their new home and investment. You and your family take great pride in your farm even down to washing the heavy equipment. The potted bushes and flowers are another great example. And I was watching you pressure wash manure off the wheel loader. Slow motion with appropriate music, good video skills Jan!

Have ya put any thoughts in building a wash rack to use to wash all your equipment and vehicle's. A cement slab with 3 walls and drain into manure pit. Keeps from making a muddy mess

Your dairy is so beautiful. And the break room is sweet. I wonder do use the cream from you dairy to sweeten your coffee? And if so is it pasteurized? Cow are amazing creatures. They eat grass and make milk. The calcium bolus looks rather extreme. But better than sick cows!
Your days up there are better then we are having. Storms and wind and cold here in Minnesota USA. I have friend waiting for steel for his shed for over a year here and has all the concrete done and just waiting. Looks great!!.
Might look a bit uncomfortable for the cow, but the alternative og going down with the milk fever is way more painful and life threading for the cow. Appreciate you showing that Jan, simple little thing that does make a huge difference.

I have been watching a channel call Piet Van Bedaf they breed some of there cows to angus to sell or feed out have you though about it also. they started in Canada are nowin north dakota milking 1600 cows you might like it also, enjoy your video keep up the good work,

I for sure thought you were going to tell you were expanding the help by getting married and were going to have 8 kids. Great video, lots of good info.
I would imagine at some point it will be a lot less money to sub-contract out the manure spreading and emptying the liquid manure pit, seems your time is better spent doing other things. Some one with 4 to 5 trucks will get the job done in a more timely manner and get the liquid pit 100 percent clean and get all of that product on the field where it will do more good. As your business grows it is the next logical step.

pretty sure that wheel loader is heavy enough for packing itself, i've never seen a weight myself, but they could be out there somewehre
