    Specifically bought the Flysky i6 after watching this since I wanted a better remote for my Eachine e010. Followed the video and works great. Your placement of the module in the case works really well. Took me awhile to find the instructions on how to bind, but found them on BG product page for module.

      Really appreciate it! I usually try and included the link in the description for stuff like that. It is linked on the BG product page though for future reference to anyone who may have this issue. I really appreciate your kind words and that my video led you to a successful endeavor! Thank you also for sharing it here with everyone! YOU ARE AWESOME!

    It's best to use hot glue to attach the module firmly and permanently inside the housing. That will prevent rattling and potential short circuits. P.S. Rubber bands tend to rot over time.

    Please could you answer this question asap pleeeeze?
    I actually prefer this gem of a radio to my singing and dancing T16s which is so sophisticated its not funny.
    I only bought it coz its multi protocol.
    The question...will the module you used for the fsi6 bind with a Blade nano S3 helicopter which has a DSM2 rx I believe?
    If it will then I will buy three more fsi6s while they are still produced and sell the T16s .
    Thanks
    Peter

    Will it work with the Udi rc Freedom 3D quad?? I don't fly many "toys" so much but do enjoy this little inverted flyer and would like to use a better radio with it.....Let me know if that particular model works here??? THX....Turbo.

    Why didn't you soldered the + lead to the + lead (near ppm & -) on the 4in1 module but on the other side instead?

    • @able1tech608
      @able1tech608  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I do not quite understand the question. You mean soldering on the other side of the 4in1 board?

    • @smitthone
      @smitthone 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      2:09: top to bottom (rightside) -, + PPM.
      You soldered - and ppm but the + across the chip

    I can't seem to get the module to power on. I'm not getting the green light... I tested the soldering points and it seems to be getting power. The controller still works, but the module isn't lighting up... can i plug this module to a 1s battery like the xRange module?

    • @able1tech608
      @able1tech608  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry for the delay. I am pretty sure you can. Or the module may be bad. Especially if the solder points are correct. Let me know if you figured out what was going on. Pray it worked out.

    Tried this on a eachine i6 and did not work for some reason. Worked fine on my flysky i6 though. Any ideas why? Is the ppm in a different location?

    • @able1tech608
      @able1tech608  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would simply try a reinstall first. Cleaning your solder joints. After that, you could always try plugging into the port on the back. I was told that is posible but haven't done a video myself. I will look more into the Eachine i6 though and see what I can come up with!

      I am not sure what the max voltage is for the module. You would have to check the Banggood link and see what it says there. I only use the 4 AA batteries.

    • @able1tech608
      @able1tech608  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No, I did not. I also cut extra in case I had to cut it down because of possible mistakes. As I learn new tech tricks and mods I make videos and post them. Sometimes they do not always work out and I will update the video and we can all learn more from my mistakes! Thank you so much for watching and I am really glad it helped you!

      This is the one I used. The one you are talking about connects in the backport but limits you for using it with anything else unless you remove the port. Either one will work though. www.banggood.com/Multiprotocol-TX-Module-For-Frsky-X9D-X9D-Plus-X12S-Flysky-TH9X-Transmitter-p-1097688.html?p=B5141410713645201705

      hmmm... this video was done a few years ago. Lolz, and yes the soldering was questionable. In fact, last year, this sorry excuse for a solder job started the fires in California and burned down my favorite tree... ;) Remember kids, safety first!

  • @openSUSE5

    Thanks for the tutorial, however, your soldering skills leave much to be desired. Here are the issues newbies should try to avoid:
    1. Don't strip too much wire.
    2. Don't use wire that's too thick, this just adds unnecessary bulk.
    3. Cut wire to the right length. Make sure there's enough that you can take the device apart again, but no more than that.
    4. Don't solder "cold joints"! A good solder joint looks very shiny and symmetrical, a bad one looks dull and craggy. This happens when not enough heat is applied while soldering. Cold joints are weak and prone to cracking over time.
    5. Connect everything to the same board if you can. You hooked up some wires to the motherboard and some to the little board in the back of the transmitter. Instead, try making ALL your connections to one board, that way it's easier to mount the new components, easier to route wires, easier to disassemble in the future.

      really appreciate the breakdown! I am certainly still a newb but love the hobby and love modifying tech. I'll make sure to include tips like this in future videos. I also have better soldering tools now! Thank you again for everything! You are awesome!

      I just did this mod, after seeing that it could be done. On my FlySky I6, there are clearly marked test pads for 3.3v, GND, and PPM Out on the main board. I just soldered to those.
