  • Modified bought some D-pillar covers off of ebay from a 2005 Caddilac Escalade. Sanded, painted, and installed them on my 2005 Chevy Suburban 2500 4x4 8.1 and they look SO MUCH BETTER!!!

That's awesome, I was thinking about some red LED strips in mine too! I'm on the fence for paint. Either gloss or matte black. What color is yours?

Gonna do this on my 02 Yukon. I was also only able to find white ones so I gotta get em painted black. Thank you for the guide!

Of all the black esclades made I couldn't find black ones anywhere! So for $100 on eBay I painted these!

are you planning on swapping in the escalade gauge cluster? it has a transmission temp gauge in it.

My suburban has the temperature so no, but if it didn't I would.

To each their own, but I like the original trim

Yup, the original trim works too. Mine were very brittle, and one was cracked. If I was making it for offroad, I would've stayed with the original trim.

I'm sorry, sometimes it's just right, sometimes it's too much. Still learning how to edit and with my new jbl earbuds I can balance the sound better than using my laptop speakers.

Very cool! The 8.1 is thirsty, and I only run 93 octane. Because I get pre ignition noise on anything else.

So it tends to knock? We are getting ready to pick it up. Has several things I need to fix. The pump rub in the transfer case. It is leaking at the front dif/axles. Coolant build up by the driver side head (not sure about that one.) Oil cooler lines has a small leak. And needs a new oil plug. Has 165k on it. And he just did 2k worth of maintenance last yr....
