My great grandfather was Spanish and his wife’s (my great-grandmother) father was an immigrant from China, I have long wanted to reconnect with my roots and wanted to learn Spanish because Mandarin was too hard for me 😅. Thank you for this video! This really inspires me seeing Spanish speaking Filipinos. Im currently based in UK but I’m planning to travel to Spain for the first time this year ❤

We Filipinos must really speak spanish although the language became part of the class system. The only Spanish speakers during that time was the upper class. Peninsulares was only 2% and the mestizos was only 3%. I am currently learning the spanish language because my wife is Colombian and it would be for my advantage to speak Spanish, so I can speak with my Suegra and help the Latin community here in Florida because I am in Real Estate and Finance business. I like what you’re doing over there. It’s not going to be a global city without Spanish language. Keep up the good work ❤

Tani kung wala nadula nag estudyo man ako ay. Interesado ako kay ang Lola ko sang una ga sulat kag ga usar gd sini nga lenguahe.

It's an event at Instituto Cervantes every September to promote Spanish-Filipino businesses and also the Spanish language. Yeah, we must truly preserve our Hispanic heritage and, of course, the Spanish language.
