You could put one bass in a 120,000 acre lake and KVD would still find a way to catch it.

I have been hard on KVD. For leaving. MY Beloved Quantum! But last Mother's Day at 2:00 pm. I caught 38 largemouth bass in 1 hr and 15 minutes. On the KVD 1.5 Sexy Shad squarebill. The flurry was awesome! Mostly Males. The big ones Females. For one brief shining moment. I felt like I was KVD on the Tournament Trail. Never again KVD! You are the G.O.A.T. for sure! @@austinclerry7258 Sorry Austin! Just came across your question. A Berkley Cherrywood HD 6'6 Medium Heavy rod. A Quantum ACCURIST S3 7 to 0 ratio reel. Using Suffix 832 Green Moss 30 braid. Tried other braids. But Suffix works great. That's the line and reel and rod I used that day. It was Mother's Day and over cast 70 degrees with the wind blowing South to North at 10 mph. A slight ripple on the water. The large mouth were stacked up 3 feet off the bank. Using a KVD 1.5 Sexy Shad square bill crank. Keeping the tip of the rod facing down. The rip Rap caused the square bill to bounce in a weird way. I caught more than 38 in a hr and 15 minutes. 1 pounders to 3 and four. When the 'Flurry' ended I was wore out. I sat down with a big ole' smile on my face. I only started counting the 38 bass. But there was a alot more. I took pictures of some. I had the time of my life. Later. I went to the other end of the pond. Using the same lure. Caught a 2 pounder then a 5 pounder. What a fishing day. Never to be repeated ever again. I tried. On the same day the next year. But to no avail. Shawn.

You couldn't have posted this video at a better time. I have a club tournament this Sunday, and this is exactly what I had planned to do. I will have cold weather and rain (per the forecast) clear water. My plan was to use a wake crank and my KVD 1.5 squarebill. Watching this video makes me believe I have made the right decision. Let's just hope come Sunday it is the correct decision.

I love using a crankbait that dives to 4' this time of year. I usually use a green olive shad or even a sexy shad

Stuntman D29 I seem to get better hooks on the crankbaits with a medium moderate action but the only thing that matters is that you’re catching fish
So not much different from a wake bait -- maybe runs a little deeper?

You need more that have rattles. Same colors just rattles. Had a situation where I experienced no rattles 10min no bites. First cast with rattles caught two instantly. Every bait needs to have an alternate switch. With and without rattles. Even the magnum 8.0 which doesn't come with rattles at all. From the 1.0 or 1.5 up to the 10XD needs to have that switch. As you know KEVIN that's the difference when the school is turned on then off also. @kevinVandam Kevin Vandam
That switch is critical. ADD RATTLES RATTLES RATTLES. PLEASE. Plus more sales. Lol plus these shallow diver less that 3ft of water. Rattles!!!
Ive caught all 3 of my top pbs on that bait they were 10 pounds 7 oz 9 pounds 13 oz and 9 pounds 5 oz all of them on video

Line size for this technique for shallow water two feet or less?
I belive KVD was using 14lb fluorocarbon. Something a little beefier around all the shallow water cover.
