In his only interview he said Kissland is his most ‘otherworldly’ body of work where you feel like you’re in his universe from the lyrics to the production. Also said that’s the only album he’d make a sequel to!!!

@@lilacskies33 when it first dropped it received a lot of backlash though, even from his og fans. thankfully it’s aged like fine wine to the point where it randomly went #1 on iTunes for the first time this year (released in 2013) which prompted a whole episode on his show MementoMori where he showed what songs influenced the album, songs sampled and even exclusive tracks he left off! top tier album

At first I thought you were just a pretty face doing reactions and dancing, instead after hearing you analyzing the lyrics of songs you actually seem very intelligent and deep! The whole package ladies and gentlemen!
Trilogy makes it very apparent that he has a lot of freedom and control of his life. Very carefree and crazy. But Kiss Land adds the aspect of his career and the stress of the media. You get his typical love life stuff, but he constantly says that “he was gone” or “he can’t be with some because he had to go live his life on tour and in the studio”.
~ LITERALLY every track involves his career or a new change in pace.
He’s also extremely vulnerable in this album. Adaption, Tears in the Rain, and Kiss Land send a message that he’s fallen into a very dark place and regrets some decisions in his life.
The album also has a mini-story to it. Some tracks talk about a prostitute (pay attention to how he talks about the person in Professional and Belong to the World) he met and fell in love with. They were very similar in the way they lived and he genuinely felt love for her. He knew he shouldn’t be with her because both of their lives and careers pull them apart. But he cannot help loving her. He then leaves on tour and once he comes back home, he finds out she’s “cheated” on him and “kills” her. Now he has no one else to love and he will forever be loveless and alone. (Belong to the World & Pretty music video support this)
Note: the art of the album is very much inspired by Japanese night life, Japanese writing, neon colors, and cities. This album is from 2013 and obviously Abel’s life and mindset has changed quite a bit

I think u got it wrong. There's a prostitute and a girl that cheated on him. Professional and Belong To The World are about a prostitute, while The Town, Adaptation, Pretty and Tears In The Rain are about the girl who cheated on him.
