- It's a two-for-one! Mezco finally released their Batman 1989 Michael Keaton figure, as well as the Man of Steel Superman figure for their One:12 Collective line. Let's take a look at two very different action figures and see how they compare.

I hated BATMAN V Superman for the longest time.
The Superman figure is definitely one of Mezco's best. The amount of stuff he comes with and the light up laser vision eyes is incredible.
Cannot believe you finally have the Mezco Keaton Batman. 3 years of waiting is insane. As bad as I wanted to get him myself, I could not have waited. Sad his eyes are fucked up on that head. I wonder if you can get Mezco to replace it (oh wait, terrible customer service. Nevermind.) The other heads all look great. The cape is a bit disappointing. I wonder if another set of wires throughout it could have helped hold it down? The accessories are all awesome. I love that double sided grapple claw. We know where he got those wonderful toys. That Batman is going to look great in the McFarlane Batmobile.
Truly the end of an era haha. It’s wild to me the path this figure took between point of sale and actual delivery. It’s not perfect but it’s exactly what I need it to be, although if a better custom cape option becomes available I’m absolutely getting it. I’m hoping he looks great with the Daddy Mac Batmobile!

Loved this, watching the Superman review for the second time (Patreon perks, people!) was great to go side by side with the new Batman review. A 3+ year wait is insane, man. I do regret not going after the Superman after seeing it in depth, but it’s probably too late to get one at a reasonable price. I loved Batman’s slapping series back in the day, and you know me, I’d love to see something similar with the new Superman figure. Patreon goal? Let’s get the funding going! Hahahaha
Hahaha I can imagine him being less aggressive but still getting the point across. The “Superman is disappointed by” series could be big numbers hahaha.

The Superman is still readily available. BBTS ha shim for 125 which was the Mezco price (for less shipping I might add...) As far as 89 Bats... that's gonna be tougher to find....
I love this Mezco Batman! Second best looking Batman since the Hot toy’s 1/6 version in my opinion! I can get a crap load of posing positions out of him! His not limited! All you have to do is very gentle and cautious when doing so! Everyone bitching about the cape! Once I worked my way and snapped the cape correctly to the cowl! It look nice and flush and I don’t have no gaps! Looks sweet! I cleaned mine like the instructions said to do so, then I went to my local auto parts store and got me bottle call (303 interior leather, rubber and plastic protectant) and my figure looks even nicer and shinier! And no oily residue on the body at all! Right now I have mine posing like when Batman jump through the glass window on the museum to rescue Vicky Vale. Overall great review!👌😎👍
I’m glad the cape works better for you than it does for me. That collar was a huge pain for me. I think my issue with the cape is they needed a few more wires to weigh it down a little bit so it falls more naturally. Overall it’s very nice though, but you’re right, the Hot Toys is still the king

Oh boy. You made that Superman figure look really good, Cap. I don't have a Superman for myself (not that I really need one), but this review had me looking at the BBTS page with a bit more clickyness over that add to cart button. Like I said, I don't have a Superman, but with all the accessories and the figure's quality, this might happen. I dunno, we'll see.
But what I can safely say will not happen is that Batman. From some of the other videos and photos I've seen, I haven't seen anything really awe inspiring about it. Well, that 3 year wait was awe inspiring, but in a bad way. But I think this review made it seem a bit better than I originally thought. This figure makes me a little concerned about their 54 Godzilla since that also has a seamless body. Hopefully they improve the seamless tech when that figure comes out. I was on the fence about it, so we'll see when that comes out. Review maybe??
This video did exactly what it was supposed to do by making a figure I wasn't even considering look very tempting with the Superman. I don't know if I'm gonna get it, but it's at the top of the list if I do. Nice video, Cap!

Yeah man, Batman is definitely more of a curiosity and it’s the type of thing where I’m happy to have it (especially after the ridiculous wait) but I can see that it might not “wow” people the same way as other figures. If I wasn’t such an 89 fan, I would probably have been fairly middle of the road on this. Superman though…he’s VERY nice. Not pushing you in the direction, but I doubt you’d be disappointed in it haha.
@@CaptainMcKayRandom I decided buying Superman would be a stupid idea for me because I wouldn't do a damn thing with it. So I took those Amazon gift cards I had and bought the SHMA SP Jet Jaguar for a dollar. Just rewatched the show and kinda really liked it
@@KaiMoFilms nice! It’s kind of a fragile feeling figure but it’s very nice, especially with the huge backpack accessory. The spear is heavy so just be careful it doesn’t weigh the arms down. As an articulated Jet Jaguar, it’s nice to have him in the collection, especially if you liked Singular Point!
Superman looks pretty good. The thin cloth helps bring out his muscles. Da hell? The Bret Hart glasses threw me off lol. Oh shit, the Black Mercy!?! Wow, the accessories are pretty damn cool. Agreed on Batman's head size. I'm not into the grey body with white crap on it. Still looks good with the cape though. Cool pics at the end. Good review overall, man. It's always cool to hear your opinion.

The Joker looks like the comic adaption of that movie.
Superman is a must have for me, mezco batman? Not so much, may skip it for Neca batman and use whatever cash to save for the Shadow and phantom figures. The magnetic peg, the cape and the rubber body were the deal breaker in the figure for me.
Hope the Power Rangers coming this summer are this good, no one else can match the Mezco faces, they are spot on.
I like when Keaton Batman calls chicks out for lying about their weight.

Loved both reviews. My biggest problem with the Superman is the size of the logo. It's too small for my personal preference. The accessories are really nice! I'd like to just have the Phantom Zone Projector, Kryptonite display, and the Black Mercy. Those are great! Now onto Batman. This just isn't for me. The suit isn't very good to me so Mezco can't really improve on something I think is bad. I do love the Returns suit though. That suit is amazing. Also, that Mezco TDKR Batman is a Legend because he got to slap Hulk Hogan.

Haha Batman’s defining moment, slapping Hogan. Thanks for watching man. Yeah if the 89 costume isn’t your thing then this figure is an easy pass. The 89 movie is still my favorite Batman movie so I’m absolutely biased, but the path to getting this figure in hand was absurd for sure. Superman is a fast favorite though, I don’t go too hard into Mezco territory (there’s only room enough for one long haired heavy metal Mezco guy in the ACBA community) but the Superman is very likely gonna make my top list this year.

I doubt it, I have no real attachment to Lois and Clark so I wouldn’t need a specific Superman from that. I don’t even really have any preferred Superman media, I just wanted a good comic version and this seemed to be the one that would hit that spot for me!

Great review - the Mezco Superman is great, awesome collection of accessories and looks really nice as a classic comic book Superman (Ive heard its meant to look a bit like John Byrnes Superman but to me it looks more like Neal Adams take). Really hoping a classic Bronze Age/Jim Aparo/Neal Adams Batman will be done next to go with the Dick Sprang style Silver Age Batman

I also think they just have figures sitting in warehouses. The justice league through pack went up for preorder like well over 2 years ago. I preordered and since then the flare of that movie has worn completely off and I didn’t want them anymore so I canceled. No way something’s up for preorder for 2 plus years in 1/12 scale and it’s not finished or ready to go. I know we had a pandemic but damn.
I forgot about those Snyderverse JL figures that were coming. Mezco’s delays are outta hand, I feel bad for anyone who’s a serious Mezco collector and just never knows when their figures are coming

He quit preordering and pretty much anytime I talk to him about stuff coming out he bitches about mezco and I agree with it all. Everyone has forgotten about those jl figs. The movie is WELL past and there’s gonna be zero interest. Sucks cause the pack at the time looked sick. Black suit Superman, a flash from the movie and before Ezra was a known piece of shit, and then a new batfleck fig. Great stuff. Was a little pricey if I remember but I was totally sold on it. Shame.

Does the way the cape tuck in to superman's shirt bother you? I had to return mine for another. Big Bad Toy Store was super nice about it.
On mine it doesn’t seem like an issue, but I’ve seen pictures of other people’s figures and they had worse issues than me. I’m glad you were able to exchange it easily!

On the fence with Keaton, one hand, he looks gorgeous, the other Y joined hips under a soft body no wonder homies broke him, looks amazing with Jack Nicholson joker tho
Yeah I’ve got my reservations even after messing with him. He looks great, but not being able to see the joints makes me hesitant to move him too much

How about the fact that the S on his chest looks more like a cheap Mego figure sticker!!! It's too small and has black outlines and was not what they showed on the prototype.
