    Love the Species Spotlight series! If you ever take requests, I'd enjoy seeing a spotlight on N. Pervillei. Over the years, I've managed to kill about a 1/2 dozen of those. Thanks!

      N. pervillei is way too lowland for ma windowsill... I don't think I'll be able to do a real spotlight. But maybe other growers will know better :)

    Truncata is my favorite pure species and it is hard to resist collecting crosses made from it, I don't have enough room! I think my next purchase will be a vetchii hybrid, after watching many of your videos I think it would be a solid windowsill choice and look great next to my truncata x spectabilis plants.

    • @WindowsillNepenthes
      @WindowsillNepenthes  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@WindowsillNepenthes truncata x spectabilis are going great! I have two extra small ones from predatory plants (titanic savior) that came in the same pot and after a month both had a huge leaf jump despite getting leaf damage from thrips. No problem with pitchering. They are still totally green so I’m wondering when they will get some color. I fed the aging pitchers the betta fish food pellets you recommended and they responded very well to them by making huge leaf and pitcher jumps in size.

    I have Nepenthes Truncata Pasian growing in my window sill for about 6 years. It has only on average put out pitchers between 6- 11.5 inches long 2 inches in diameter. I wonder if there's anyway to get it to grow one of those famous 2 liter soda bottle sized ones.

    • @WindowsillNepenthes
      @WindowsillNepenthes  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I don't know if Red Pasian produces huge pitchers. Some truncata produce squat pitchers. ;) But there's nothing you can do to make them bigger as your plant is happy (pitchering) and adult. ;)

    red spotting on ur truncata: truncata and hybrids are very susceptible to odema. which is caused by over watering.

    hello, I wanted to ask you, my nepenthes, in the pitchers, there is never liquid, how can I increase the liquid levels inside the pitchers without adding water?

    • @WindowsillNepenthes
      @WindowsillNepenthes  ปีที่แล้ว

      The fluid can be low but there is always fluid in each new pitcher opening. The only time fluid is gone is during the shipping. But if your humidity is so low that it dries the liquid inside the pitcher, on new leaf you won't have any pitcher. Did you got your plant lately?
