I can barely contain how deeply moving that segment at 2:30 is. Completely captures the feeling of mystery and wanderlust. That desire to explore the unknown and see what has not been seen. Untold mysteries in uncharted lands that dare you to explore their reaches. _Just powerful._
I agree that the music is S tier, but the Isle of Dorn zone is kind of 7/10 imo. The sky is beautiful, the city is great, the music is amazing, the general vibe is great, and the quests are good. There are also pockets of immense beauty, like in those little Earthen villages. BUT, the one thing that holds the zone back is that it looks a bit sparse, rocky, and samey if you look at is as a whole. It looks a bit like an old quarry or something. The coastline is pretty dead, and there's not a whole lot of variety in terms of its biome. Zones like Stormsong Valley, Highmountain, Valley of the Four Winds, and Grizzly Hills beat the Isle of Dorn in this regard. Still a kickass zone though.
@@rainisneatyeah I agree. I like it a lot but it’s pretty bland in the grand scheme of things imo. it’s a basic bread and butter zone, but done really well.
How do they keep doing it. Every single expansion, I ask myself "how could they possibly make pieces that are as amazing as the other soundtracks?" And then a piece like this hits while you're leveling, and at 4:00 when it hits night, and you just know. Breathtaking.
I can assure you when this expansion launches, more and more players will gush over how amazing this track sounds befitting its specific zone. With the heavy LotR vibes, it feels like a targeted Christmas present Blizzard has waiting for us lol
Even after listening to this hundreds of times during those shitty mount farms, this track isn't ruined for me. It's up there with Grizzly Hills for sure.
Sounds similar and it could have definitely been inspiration for the song. Are you thinking of the Shire? You can hear inspiration taken from Howard Shore's LOTR scores since the first days of wow.

thank you, cinderwold OST, for saving my life.
When I was questing on the Isle of Dorn, this made me /sit and just listen.
God-tier zone design and music. WoW is starting to feel like home again.

@@rainisneatagreed. Very very good but not great zone imo
I can sure this is my favorite war within music

This is all really beautiful work--the heavy reverb and pad layers of 02, 05, and 07 are especially evocative and transportive
Cinderwold 01 - 0:00
Cinderwold 02 - 3:55
Cinderwold 03 - 7:25
Cinderwold 04 - 9:25
Cinderwold 05 - 12:05
Cinderwold 06 - 14:05
Cinderwold 07 - 16:15
Some parts of this give me heavy LOTR vibes
this is BEAUTIFUL, I’m shocked

I was a big fan of the flute-heavy stuff in BFA/boralus, the horn-heavy tracks like 04 are doing it for me
16:12 and 3:58.... Stunning! Love it!

The theme at 2:30 - so beautiful.
I'm so glad they used this section in the login music. It's so pretty
The first time I heard this melody in the login theme, I was taking my breath away
Reminds me of how they used to write WoW music back in Wrath of the Lich King.
Yo solo juego uno o dos personajes, esta cancion me hizo llorar por que recorde las aventuras que tuve con ellos por todo azeroth
Should've named it ''Concerning Earthen''
Sounds like memories in music form
Cannot get enough of this track. I think I have played it at least 20 times in the past 25 hours.
This track may be called Cinderwold, but for me this will be known as Korgran's Theme. 😭
Makes me feel depressed everytime I hear it play doing world quests , so much of the soundtrack is so moody

This is really great.
You know why we're all here. What a f*cking banger.
2:30 lights me up
This is my Grizzly hills.
Sounds a lot like the Shire.
The Shire mixed in with a giant serving of melancholy. I got goosebumps listening to this when I first ventured into that part of the Isle.
Just makes you feel a lot of things while just saving bees for no reason
Track 2 is what I think heaven would sound like
That's a nice thought :)

the hobbit
this literally from lord of the rings am I insane?
