I went to a Trump rally on a whim with a friend. The thousands of people there were Mexican, white, black and native American. It was a great time of unity! You all should go to one if you want to see who the real conservatives are. Its not what the media makes it to be.
That's no joke. I live in a small West Texas town and our local sheriff organized a Trump rally that took a good size convoy from one side of town down through the center to the other side. It was a slow 30 minute ride since the town is small, but let me tell you - it was completely integrated with all walks, colors, and levels of education. We had a fun time, no one was cross with each other and no one burned any buildings down.
I went to a BLM rally and had screaming pink hair girls calling me a “Nazi” and a “White Cis Male”. All I was doing was walking with an Austin, TX t-shirt on that had red, white and blue. So, simply because I was white and wearing a semi patriotic t-shirt…. I guess… I was singled out as the “evil one”. It’s just happened to be the same colors as the American flag… not political. No Trump hats… nothing. I never even engaged with anyone… I was just attacked by every pink or blue haired white girl or skinny guy in his “scary” 😂 black outfit. (I honestly was not saying a thing - never said anything but “hello”) But simply because I was a white male, 6’2” and in decent shape…all of a sudden i became a “Nazi racist”. 🤷🏻 Bro, my family didn’t immigrate to the US until 1902. We never had anything to do with “slavery”. The democrats are the unabashed party of hate and exclusion. No cap.

I attended a Trump rally with my hispanic wife, her mother - who has difficulty walking, and her brother. We were each treated extremely respectfully. Many tried very hard to make certain my wife's mother was comfortable. There was 'zero' racism.

I actually agree with you in large part. I have many conservative friends and family members. All good people. What, I don't get, is why anyone would support Trump for any kind of public office, considering the content of his character. What's funny to me is that a lot of what Trump supporters say they stand for, I totally agree with. Drain the swamp? Yes, absolutely. But Trump owes everything he is and has to the swamp. Better wages for working class people? Hell, yes! But Trump is notorious for not paying people at all for services rendered. And really, the list goes on. Trump actually stands for none of things which his supporters say they stand for. I've got no real problem with the guy as just some billionaire, even though I personally would never do any kind of business with him, because people who do pretty much always end up holding the short end of the stick. I'd rather not see the entire country end up holding the short end of the stick. And to be clear I don't particularly like politicians from either party. I was raised in a very republican household. Other than the family, I also know a LOT of hardcore republicans. One thing the media doesn't tell people is this. If you show up with such a friendly spirit as that guy, or even just a respectful aura, everyone's gonna love you. The VAST majority don't care about color, they care about what kind of person you are.

I’ve been to a few Trump Rallies as a black woman. Never experienced any issues. There was a mixture of people there. And it was friendly and fun as hell!

Absolutely! I’m not even a super hard core conservative (I like most everyday Americans land somewhere in the middle when it comes to my views. But I definitely lean more towards conservative views) the amount of hate I see online is usually being thrown around by those who speak of tolerance for all and preach equality for everyone. Those labeled as “alt right” won’t hesitate to tell you they don’t agree with you but, they aren’t mean about it. They are willing to shake your hand, give you a hug, or even offer you a helping hand if you need it.

It is a paid for rally by funds of the candidate and security is tight. There have been a handful of agitators who tried to disrupt at these rallies but are removed from the events grounds so not to stir up trouble. Go looking for trouble and one will find it.

My cousin and I went to a Trump rally in Dallas, TX (we're elderly white females) while standing in line a young black business man joined us in conversation and then and old white business man joined us. All four of us had the best time laughing and talking and walking for almost 5 hrs. The black guy and myself were interviewed by a Russian TV crew. We never talked about politics until we were interviewed.

Must say it was a blast and not just saying that cause I'm a supporter, and was the very first time every going to anything political in my life. Enjoyed the people in line and enjoyed the atmosphere. Great people all the way around

From a Canadians perspective, of course the American under armor shirt elicits a positive interaction because an important aspect of the MAGA is loving your Country regardless of race and there isn't anything wrong with that. As an immigrant I think that has a lot to do with class. There seems to be a lot more liberal people with a university education who although they speak about equality, gender, race etc etc don’t know anyone who is blue collar. As a result they can be patronizing toward people they consider of lower class status (and they are often unaware they are doing it). Many Trump supporters are blue collar and find common cause with people, are more likely to go to church and actually more tolerant and open to talking to people from different backgrounds. University grads don’t realize that the journeyman plumber or electrician they are interacting with often make more money than them and are small business owners who employ others. The big divide in American in my experience is CLASS which is not talked about in favor of gender and race because then it doesn’t actually challenge those in power, they think changing pronouns in their bio is some kind of meaningful act, while the blue collar church goers are serving the poor through their faith community. Just my 2 cents from observing people in my workplaces.

Love hearing you guys just honestly speaking straight up about race. I think it's time we all realize that both parties have used racism to divide votes and the working class. I as a middle class white man have much more in common with a middle class black man than I have with an upper class white man. You put me with a group of men that work 9 to 5, have families, take care of their business, put food on the table, like sports, and love God and whether they're black, white, red, yellow, or green I'm going to get along just fine with them. The American middle class is the most powerful group of people in the world and the US government knows it. So, they do what they can to divide our vote and make us fight amongst ourselves so they can do what they want to do, and not what's best for our country and the middle class.

One point demonstrates a part of the problem, for everybody; feeling comfortable. Approaching a group is a lot easier when there is someone who "looks like you", and more so for people that are more introverted too. There are some exceptions to this, like any bell curve, but the majority of people will, naturally, gravitate towards their In-Group. The great thing, in my experience, about people who don't subscribe to the modern "Left," is that In or Out-Group, they are willing to get to know **you,** rather than than break you down and prescribe your associates/friends/family based on the small box they put you in.

I went to a Trump rally on a whim with a friend. The thousands of people there were Mexican, white, black and native American. It was a great time of unity! You all should go to one if you want to see who the real conservatives are. Its not what the media makes it to be.
That's no joke. I live in a small West Texas town and our local sheriff organized a Trump rally that took a good size convoy from one side of town down through the center to the other side. It was a slow 30 minute ride since the town is small, but let me tell you - it was completely integrated with all walks, colors, and levels of education. We had a fun time, no one was cross with each other and no one burned any buildings down.

I attended a Trump rally with my hispanic wife, her mother - who has difficulty walking, and her brother. We were each treated extremely respectfully. Many tried very hard to make certain my wife's mother was comfortable. There was 'zero' racism.

I actually agree with you in large part. I have many conservative friends and family members. All good people. What, I don't get, is why anyone would support Trump for any kind of public office, considering the content of his character. What's funny to me is that a lot of what Trump supporters say they stand for, I totally agree with. Drain the swamp? Yes, absolutely. But Trump owes everything he is and has to the swamp. Better wages for working class people? Hell, yes! But Trump is notorious for not paying people at all for services rendered. And really, the list goes on. Trump actually stands for none of things which his supporters say they stand for. I've got no real problem with the guy as just some billionaire, even though I personally would never do any kind of business with him, because people who do pretty much always end up holding the short end of the stick. I'd rather not see the entire country end up holding the short end of the stick. And to be clear I don't particularly like politicians from either party. My cousin and I went to a Trump rally in Dallas, TX (we're elderly white females) while standing in line a young black business man joined us in conversation and then and old white business man joined us. All four of us had the best time laughing and talking and walking for almost 5 hrs. The black guy and myself were interviewed by a Russian TV crew. We never talked about politics until we were interviewed.

I've gone to two Trump rallies, one in Alabama and the other in Texas. Must say it was a blast and not just saying that cause I'm a supporter, and was the very first time every going to anything political in my life. Enjoyed the people in line and enjoyed the atmosphere. Great people all the way around

This shows perception vs reality . I lived in the US for 4 yrs and always got along with conservatives (republicans) . Liberals where cool , but they always sorta look down on you like you cant do basic shit lol That really bugged me
As an immigrant I think that has a lot to do with class. There seems to be a lot more liberal people with a university education who although they speak about equality, gender, race etc etc don’t know anyone who is blue collar. As a result they can be patronizing toward people they consider of lower class status (and they are often unaware they are doing it). Many Trump supporters are blue collar and find common cause with people, are more likely to go to church and actually more tolerant and open to talking to people from different backgrounds. University grads don’t realize that the journeyman plumber or electrician they are interacting with often make more money than them and are small business owners who employ others. The big divide in American in my experience is CLASS which is not talked about in favor of gender and race because then it doesn’t actually challenge those in power, they think changing pronouns in their bio is some kind of meaningful act, while the blue collar church goers are serving the poor through their faith community. Just my 2 cents from observing people in my workplaces.

Love hearing you guys just honestly speaking straight up about race. I think it's time we all realize that both parties have used racism to divide votes and the working class. I as a middle class white man have much more in common with a middle class black man than I have with an upper class white man. You put me with a group of men that work 9 to 5, have families, take care of their business, put food on the table, like sports, and love God and whether they're black, white, red, yellow, or green I'm going to get along just fine with them. The American middle class is the most powerful group of people in the world and the US government knows it. So, they do what they can to divide our vote and make us fight amongst ourselves so they can do what they want to do, and not what's best for our country and the middle class.

One point demonstrates a part of the problem, for everybody; feeling comfortable. Approaching a group is a lot easier when there is someone who "looks like you", and more so for people that are more introverted too. There are some exceptions to this, like any bell curve, but the majority of people will, naturally, gravitate towards their In-Group.
The great thing, in my experience, about people who don't subscribe to the modern "Left," is that In or Out-Group, they are willing to get to know **you,** rather than than break you down and prescribe your associates/friends/family based on the small box they put you in.
