Kim Mulkey said Utah was the best team LSU played in the tournament. I agree. Even though VA Tech was a #1 seed. Utah was Iowa with better defense.
Being a tiger fan of course I’m so happy LSU won but my God my heart breaks for that Utah player. A 75% shooter from the free throw line and she misses both?One being an airball? Poor baby just buckled under the pressure. It doesn’t matter how many good games she’s played in her career, THIS will certainly be the one she will never forget. I really hope she wasn’t a senior😔

This was a great game. LSU didn't play this way against Iowa. Jena Johnson a 75 percent free throw shooter just felt the pressure and choked at the line.
LSU saw the South Carolina game and they were offended because I think deep down LSU knew Iowa would have the same mentality against them. It motivated them to where Alexis Morris declared before the game that it wouldn't be wise to concede shots to them on the perimeter. And Jasmine Carson was the Ace in the Hole... Iowa's coach said before the Final that LSU was like South Carolina, but with a little better shooters. LSU heard that. And they shot it... a little better than South Carolina.... lol. Iowa wouldn't have beaten LSU with either one of their Final Four performances 79 pts against SC... But everyone thought LSU was going to come into the Finals with a shaky performance. Oh well... Caitlin Clark is good but she wasn't going to outshoot Morris, Kateri, Flau'Jae, Carson, and Poa by herself. 30 pts isn't bad, but when you're 9-22 and you're playing a team that set the scoring record in the 1st Half... 40 wouldn't have been enough. Caitlin Clark needed a tremendous game and hoped that her team could find the other 40 or 50 pts. LSU did what should be done in all sports. In Track and Field, you can break the World Record in the 100m preliminaries, but if you don't show up for the Final and win it, who cares? LSU brought its A game to the National Title Game, and South Carolina would've struggled with LSU too, because Kim Mulkey would've played some zone on South Carolina...
@@carlosdossantos917 yes I agree with everything you said but lsu has not played that well against any team they have played. They performed at the right time. This makes me believe that if they had went up against South Carolina defense it wouldn’t have happened. Jasmine Carson was having the greatest night she has ever had with all those threes. Without them threes and that little run she had it would have been a much closer game.
Sorry for Johnson that didn't hit the free throws, she just couldn't handle the pressure, while on the other hand Alexis Morris made her baskets, shows she is a veteran. Morris should have been the mvp or Carson. Reese did ok, but my opinion Morris. Williams is underated.
