    Just crashed yesterday! My drone is not looking that great 😅. The gps module plastic cover popped off, the gymbal motor is either broken or the axis is out of place, when in normal mode it flies about fine (probably because the flight control is compensating for the problem) but when i get in manual mode the drone flies back without my input. I own the 2 year care refresh plan. Any idea of how much i will pay? Cause im very confused about the fees they apply... Like i have the care refresh plan and i intend to used it i will pay the repairs or just the replacement cost and is this replacement fee minimal or full price?

      Sorry to hear that happened to you. Yes. The fees are just temporary to make sure that you actually send back your drone. I explained this in the video. They apply a temp charge of like 350 to your account. As long as you ship the drone back, the replacement is 25 or so for the drone only. Just make sure you use the care express option. This’ll get you back up and running faster.

    I wish I bought this for my Air 2
    A few months ago it randomly decided to reject my input and fly itself full speed into a building. I was hoping DJI would take care of it since it was a malfunction but because I was outside of the warranty period and did not have Refresh, they refused to look at the flight data.
    I ended up having to pay about $300 for a replacement drone and battery. Not to mention that it took about two weeks to get the replacement.

      Oh man, that’s really unfortunate, sorry to hear that but at least you didn’t need to pay the full price of the drone to get it replaced. Still unfortunate though.

    I just ordered the Avata through Amazon, will I be able to apply for the care refresher?

    • @jackofmanytrades
      @jackofmanytrades  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Nice, hope you enjoy it! If you did NOT activate it. As I mentioned in my video, as long as you purchase care refresh before or within 48h of activation, it will work.

      @@jackofmanytradesI am still waiting for Amazon to deliver, so once i received and buy the care refresher within 48 hrs of activation i will be ok

    • @jackofmanytrades
      @jackofmanytrades  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @denismichelblais1303 yes. That’s correct. Usually when you go to activate it, it’ll ask you if you want to buy care refresh

    you did not loose control... you've just experienced the death wobble which is triggered when you are trying to recover from a heavy drop (like recovering from a powerloop) it is a well known and documented issue with the avata which was kind of patched with firmware however still not solved as its a hardware issue more then software where the motors are to small for the weight of the drone. the good thing about this is that DJI are very good with their customer support and will aid you through all the process to get another unit

    • @jackofmanytrades
      @jackofmanytrades  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey, thanks for reminding me about that. Yes, I know that had been an issue. You’re absolutely correct. I didn’t actually hit any obstacles so I figured since my controller became mostly unresponsive that it triggered DJI’s “fix” which tries to re-level the drone and kicks it into normal mode. I think since it occurred relatively low to the ground, the drone didn’t have the latitude to correct itself.
      Thanks again for your comment!

    Do we get $ 311 back ?

    • @jackofmanytrades
      @jackofmanytrades  หลายเดือนก่อน

      They put the temporary charge on your account for the full amount but they’ll remove that charge once they get the drone you send back. Sometimes they might even remove it once you put your drone in the mail.
