- In this video, Women of Faith speaker and author, Patsy Clairmont, is captured sharing her "Let There Be Light" message, which is the focus of her upcoming book "Catching Fireflies," due out in February 2009.
Spunky and deep, "Catching Fireflies" helps women find the eternal source of goodness and strength for the everyday things, big or small.
Patsy Clairmont is a light girl. Sure she's small, but we're not talking about that. As a best-selling author and speaker for Women of Faith, Patsy is a woman who loves illumination. Morning sunrays sneaking through the window shades. The yellow glow of a firefly. Or lightning streaking across a night sky like an exclamation point. There's just something about the power of light that hints at goodness and joy, even when it's dark.
In "Catching Fireflies", Patsy talks about the areas of a woman's life that could use a little light. She knows that every woman needs a source of illumination to calm fears, dream dreams, raise kids, work hard, and do everything else in between. This spunky and deep book inspires women by leading them to the eternal source of goodness and strength for the everyday things, big or small.
This lady will make you laugh, cry and laugh somemore. I was blessed to see her at Women of Faith

I was at the conference in 2008 when Patsy shared this story. It blew me away then & I've re-watched it a dozen times since. Love it!!
God revealed this to me a couple of days ago to say, "let there be light." He told me to speak this in every area of my life no matter if it good or bad. God is so AWESOME. He is so worthy to be praised. Glory to God almighty.
Amen Amen powerful. And God said Let there be Light. Amen. Keep the faith.
Light, love and truth are energetically synonymous. If we are willing to fully open to and embrace these higher truths- there can be no darkness in us.
Gave me goosebumps at the meaning of "Let there be light." Patsy talking about how little we know is strong confirmation of what He's been saying to me lately!! Love her.
Thank you for sharing the light that has lifted me up as I journey down the road of cancer. He saved me and continues to give me strength.

I love this amazing story! I heard it at WOF this past weekend. Patsy is such a great storyteller! I love how she uses humor, even in tough stories.
4:45-5:05....cracks me up!!! I'm currently reading her book "Normal i just a setting on your dryer" I found it in a box of stuff at a garage sale...i didn't even have a clue as to what it was about but i judged a book by its cover and ended up falling in love with it!! Her adventures remind me of crazy things my bestie and i have done.

His healing WILL come.Healing may not come in the way that we want (we are all praying it does) but one thing I know for a fact, 100% accuracy...you will NOT lose your battle to cancer. Thanks so much for coming and sharing this with us in Boston. I have a friend like your friend Carol because I am the "verbose" one in our relationship. How strange that all weekend while at the conference I couldn't form simple sentences! I just opened my mouth and nothing came out. I am sure I am not the only one who has passed on a message that they didn't understand at the time. Thanks to you and your porch pals for the light you have been in our lives. God Bless you.

@gupsphoo - You seem to dismiss the idea of the BIBLE being the veritable Word of God which, if it is indeed God's Word, and God being Eternal in His power and knowledge, the Scriptures then must be viewed as an integral whole and not the independent, individual surmising and cogitations of the writers (emanuenses). As for being desperate - its true that at one time I was, but then I came to know the LORD Jesus and have since known His love, grace, peace and joy, and therefor no longer desperate
@gupsphoo 1 John 1:5 "This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all." Before sun or moon or stars were made, God was there, and manifested light into the universe. I believe God is creator and that He created all things; you believe that life came from non-living material, or one might say, life from a piece of 'rock'. God or a rock? Who believes the myth here? I will take the Bible over EVILution any day.

@FLAMEROX777 First of all, John was written thousands of years after Genesis. If it was meant to be a clarification, it would have been too late.
Second of all, the "light" referenced in John was clearly metaphorical.

God said "let there be light", but what's the light source? If God meant the sun or the stars, then why not just say so in the Bible? This proves the Genesis myth is just bullshit and utterly unscientific.
I like folks who just like to through in their two sense especially when they have no idea what they are talking about. If you would spend time in the Holy Bible prayerfully, your question will be answered by the word of God, the Bible.
