Being someone’s “fix” is the most triggering statement.
The one with the camper van wasn't rejected; he came into, my life just after I split from my X and my X has a bad temper. I was in an emotional mess and I needed to heal. I wasn't prepared to jump into bed with another man while I was so vulnerable and in need of healing. I am sorry he couldn't understand this at the time and still has issues with that. But I will thank him for watching my dog while I hung her on a fence to get something from another house.
