This show is so wonderful. I didn’t grow up in the age of when this show was made, in fact I’m still a teenager. Yet I am still so grateful my dad showed this to me as a kid. There’s so many lessons and just wonderful things these shows provided and I didn’t even realize it back then. This show is so magical that looking back on it is the craziest sense of nostalgia ever. It’s so sad knowing modern day kids have to grow up with trashier shows.
For years, I could've sworn this had a scene at the end where the piano teacher reappeared at the concert and congratulated Terry. Weird how those false childhood memories can feel so distinct!
Wow! I can't believe I found this! I remember watching this on VHS all the time as a young child! I was born in 1987, so my parents likely rented it from Blockbuster Video in the early 90s, or they probably found it for cheap in a bin at the grocery store and bought it for me, but I remember watching it all the time with a bunch of other obscure cartoons that are now just vague memories in my mind. I'm so happy I found this! I can't wait to sit and watch it with my 1yo niece and pass along the magic of Puff!
I didn't even know about The Land of Living Lies and The Incredible Mr. Nobody until I had came across them on TH-cam. Of course, they were uploaded by someone else at the time.
I was born in 82. I’m autistic high functioning and write my own piano music but anyways I had to watch this movie every day lol or I’d cry starting in preschool to 2nd grade it has that special place in my heart and I even wrote my song heart of the sleeping dragon in memory of my first favorite cartoon. I still own my childhood book of this exact movie. It even has sheet music in the book.
20:18 Anybody notice he did sign language for "Believe in you"? Jackie struggled with talking verbally, so it makes sense that he'd know sign language, I love this show.
I didn't like how those kids and teachers put down Terry's creativity, causing him to bottle them up. I've known people who frown on other's talents and thoughts like that and wants them to be normal like everyone else.

I'VE SPENT YEARS TRYING TO GIND THIS CARTOON

Man, direct hit right to my childhood. I loved this special as a kid, and it still holds up. ❤
I definitely saw this one as a child, yet for some reason the only part I could remember was the bit where he's eating soup at the start.

OMG this brings me so many good memories ❤️ puff always had a great lesson I would be glued to the TV 💗🤗
Puff was truly a great show to watch as a kid. If only there were many episodes, and not just three.

Same here, but I was born in 93. My grandmother had a VHS of it that I watched until it was unplayable.
Oh wow, I had totally forgotten about this one!!!! ❤
Huge flashback to my childhood! I loved this special so much, it’s so cool to see it again after all these years

Terry is a cultures young lad, to have read Homer's Odyssey at his age.
This was the vhs video tape I had of puff the magic dragon when I was growing up and I loved it 😁😁😁😁
These cartoons are amazing! They address issues like autism, pathological lying, and this one... D.I.D..
Terry seems autistic too.
I remember this specific episode!
Lol his parents were understanding
I like how the savage beast is really just a kitty cat.
Burgess Meredith as the narrator/Puff!!!!!!!!!

I'm 37, and I'm dealing with that now. I've dealt with it my entire life. I'm stuck working a job I hate while my potential goes totally neglected.
Omg a new one for me
Puff was helping a young little boy with his imaginary friend Duck who has nobody and he needs somebody needs a friend and he’ll doing by himself!
19:36 is that sign language?
I know you commented that 8 months ago, but I thought the same thing! He signs what he says
Boy, this one has kind of a slow start.
True. Lol
