These sound FANTASTIC. I had heard they were going to release a super-accurate PAF humbucker, but this was a pleasant surprise. The neck pickup sounds really good.
Never been much of one for Ceramic p'ups, then again I said the same of Alnico 5 mags and ended up getting a Tonerider Birmingham set lol. Got a few of their pickups in my guitars as always excellent stuff! Awesome demo too!
@@jblaze4583 they're quite unique, not like a JB/Jazz set or PAFs. The closest thing I can think of that I've tried is a Bill Lawrence 500XL (Nuno, Dimebag) and the neck is very much matched to that. The bridge is hot but not mid heavy like a lot of high gain pickups
I've purchased several different types of ToneRider pickups. Single coils, Humbuckers and P'90's. It was the stellar reviews of their P90 line of pickups that made me try them out. Now I have them in several of my own guitars and the ones I build for others.
I had 500t for 20 years in my Flying V, these sound better. Depends on preference of course. I quite loiked 496R but never really loved 500t. But undoubtedlx a great 80s pup.
These sound great! Especially for the money . I was thinking about a Bareknuckle brute force or true grit how do you like them compared to the those ?
Jordan, what would be better for heavy riffs , Panama or Octane?
What is the best wiring for these pickups? 50's or modern?
good for tool style stuff? or is a little too "crisp"?

@@dver4624 they do! I've still got them in my main guitar after testing it against other big brand name pickups I have and these were my favourite
They already ave, Alnico 2 Classic. They are fantastic.
nice sound man, the neck is really special
Thankyou! Yeah I'm really liking it

These sound great! Considering a set for a newly purchased Explorer
What pickups would you compare them to?

@@jbrewermusic So more full shed EQ. Thanks man.
Jordan, did you install pickups yourself?

I just got the Hot Classics in my Tele and the AC2 in my V. Fantastic stuff!
Is this an alternative to lets say sh5 or Gibson 500t? Or is it a fresh construction that does not mimic any other iconic pickup?
@@petkopeet they're definitely their own thing, hotter and they have more bite
