What should I build next?!? 👇🏽
A yacht or pontoon boat
@@mikeysanchez583 love it
YOU SHOULD BUILD A BOAT WITH A HAMMOCK ON TOP.
A HAMMOYAK
Definitely a boat like Mikey suggested. Just the planning to make it water tight will be great content! Might want to try some of that spray can Flex Seal on the cardboard hull! 📦 🚤
@@doctorhorton that’ll be on the list for spring!
That’s way better than the cardboard box I’m living in now.

If you remake this, you should use food service freezer boxes and the boxes they use to ship appliances. Alot of those boxes are double walled. Pretty much any box they ship heavy things in.
Yes
Don't forget flextape
Next time leave it in the garage. Weather proof!🤗
Also maybe use a tarp on outside of it for the siding
And don't forget tarps, Bill internal structure out of real 2-4 and the support from pallets then it'll be strong enough to live in, use tarps to cover it up, it'll last a really long time. I built my friend my that was homeless and sick one. It lasted until we got her into a place, about a year and a half. We then gave it to a older homeless gentleman. I don't know exactly how long he used it but a couple of years. I used really heavy duty shipping boxes. I got them the same place I did the pallets . The only thing I bought the two-by-fours or us the roof. You insulated with dirt. Most of the plastic I got from a construction site , So I didn't really use tarps but terps would work. I think the only thing that I spent money on what's a mattress, a chair, and a rug for the inside after we were finished with the outside.
I never understood why something so strong as duct tape would come loose of of cardboard. Had it happen many times. Not when I build my own cardboard house of course. I've never done that, lol.
Because the cardboard isn’t textured enough for it to grip onto well.
@@rachelcookie321 yeah, that must be it
Hot glue is a much better alternative to duct tape when it comes to cardboard. One of the few times where using hot glue is the correct decision.
@@rachelcookie321 wouldn’t it be over textured? Cardboard is kinda fuzzy
@@CorgiCorner the inside is fuzzy but the outside is slick. I believe most cardboard is usually coated in chemicals for numerous reasons which gives it this smooth finish.
To make the walls better, you should use something like hydrophobic spray, it would protect it against rain, which was your issue at the start.
We've made a lot of cardboard forts before.. This is awesome!
Thanks dudes!!! My construction background definitely came in handy!
Hi!!!!!❤
Underrated comment by jstu himself

Love you guys
The waiting was totally worth it man! This is a legendary video 🔥
Yooo thanks man
@Balian and Aj Production Of Short Films I think it means it’s fire which usually means it’s cool or good
I thought you were going blow the house down.
that fire would burn down the airbnb
cringe clickbait. this isn't an airbnb this is a piece of crap you build in your backyard
That was awesome!
Yooooo thanks!
hacksmithhhh
This is taking "living in a cardboard box" to a whole new level.
The quality of the videos you make deserve hundreds of thousands of views, it’s insane that you actually built a whole house made of cardboard!
🙏🏽 thanks Man! Yea I really went hard on this one
I was literally about to say the same thing post on other platforms for more coverage!
Agreed! Superhost in the making! 🙌
@@JakeCarlini super amazing :)
Kinda bot tho

Maybe you should ask Kartent for help or tips on future cardboard projects.
They make tents out of cardboard, strong enough to survive a festival. All waterproof, and recyclable.
They also make furniture now, but it all started with the cardboard tents, so festivals would have an easier and cheaper way of cleaning up. Since many people just abandon their old, broken tents at festival sites so they won't have to deal with it themselves.
This is genius! 😂

Bro this guy literally makes all of our childhood dreams
I agree about using the heavier duty cardboard from freezers, and shipping of equipment. Also spray it with a water tight sealant. The rain will just roll off.
Damn so you built a normal airbnb? Thats sick
this is the first video I watched from you, and when I saw the quality, I thought you would have at least 1 million subscribers, but you only have 74k! please subscribe to this man, he is under rated as hell!
EPIC
Thanks bro!💪🏽
I make cardboard furniture and I use wood glue to glue several layers of cardboard together. I let it sit overnight with something heavy to weigh it down to get a super tight hold and it will be very study and have some weight to it. I think it would work very good with your idea. There are sprays and solutions to make it waterproof. You can also then cover the cardboard with some paint, contact paper, epoxy, etc. to give it a little uplift. It would probably hold up pretty good and don't forget to pin it down to keep it from flying away in the wind. I might try this one myself. You have a good idea. It just needs some more perfection in the way to do it. Please try it again.
.
I miss when these were the only videos to go viral or trend! Lots of work and very entertaining!
this is the greatest video ive ever seen!
for real!

Didn’t expect to see you here
You're a great storyteller, editor, and Carpenter! The ending was hilarious.

next time, use cardboard boxes as bricks!! :D
I just found this channel 20 mins ago and I think it’s extremely cool and I hope more people get to see this
Hey thanks! Me too! 🙏🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽
Hey! What happened to the guy who booked the AirBNB lol 😂@@JakeCarlini
Been waiting for this! Too cool bro!
Yooo thanks bro! Been a long time coming
I'm starting to do a lot of arts and crafts projects like this for fun. What really helps in making everything super sturdy and long lasting is covering EVERYTHING with heavy duty gorilla glue black duct tape. A little more expensive than the grey ones you used, but they're totally worth it in the end!
Make a secret base with led lights and everything cozy
Got to respect the work ethic.

I know a lot of effort went into this video & it paid off!! Really great flow to the whole video. Also I love the ending 😁

Interesting build. I was actually impressed with the finished project.
Great opening picture of tornado in background.

“The most important rule is to NOT SPILL ANYTHING”
Spray the house with Flex Seal. Also you need some weight bearing walls or support columns inside. Build a carport over it to shield it and give shade.
Please make a Organic looking, hobbit/mushroom/fairy Cafe❤
So you basically building Americans house??

You and the team should do this again but make it more sturdy and waterproof by having a bigger roof and the roof having something waterproof.( Just an idea)
Pov: a storm comes

Yes! You could spray some acrylic paint on it and put sealant on the edges.
BRO THIS IS EPIC!!! I love watching these

Other wall: what about me 😭😭
Tape, paint,tape, paint, - complete 🤣🤣🤣👏🏼 dying
This is insane! 😂🤣😱
You started a whole new movement.... There would be many people who would be proud to live in it. // Next time, maybe use one of those giant blue tarps over it.
Next time try gluing several layers of cardboard to create the thickness of drywall. Might hold up better to the wind.
I love raising the roof w a tractor. Truly epic!
Aaaahhh so much work. Too bad that it didn't work like you wanted but hopefully the fire was warm & nice :))
I was interested in the concept BUT I STAYED FOR YOUR COMMENTARY!!! 🔥🔥🔥
I know that this is awhile ago... But... If you paint it Elmer wood glue, laying just about any type of cloth.. like bed sheets as you go with a roller.. and then coating it again in the glue, you get what is called poor man's fiberglass.. waterproof,strong... Long lasting..
