Falin and Laios have the same interest and hobbies, the difference is that one of them can socialize and the other cannot. It is also the difference in their upbringing but telling it would be spoilers for now.
I've been seeing posts on Twitter about this anime since it started airing and I was vaguely intrigued, but this Farcille scene is what finally convinced me to watch it a few weeks ago and oh boy I have no regrets! Historians will say they were good friends...😏 Anyways, I came for the yuri but stayed for the amazing characters and worldbuilding too, I've even finished the manga a couple days ago because I was too impatient to wait lol
Apparently the gender of the elf was only revealed outside of the manga by the author, before that, translations would mistakenly referr to him as a girl, but he is in fact a guy, the subs had Laios use "him" in the painting episode because of this.
Not _that_ sketchy. Kensuke hasn’t been handled by anyone that isn’t Laios (Chilchuk and Senshi yeeting it to Laios during the dragon fight _very much_ not counting), and it had just been set on the table to be observed and poked at. If Kensuke had noticeably reacted to her when Laios was even closer to her earlier, maybe, but that reaction was him trying to go back to safety (which happens to be by Laios’s side, now).
Seriously wasn't expecting to get her back so soon but I'm not complaining at all XD Enjoyment wise this was definitely my favorite episode of the series!
For the past few weeks, I've seen a lot of MarcilleXFalin fanart on twitter, as a yuri lover I didn't mind too much, but with the bath and bed scene whith them... yep I understand this ship better now 😁.
I personally don't really see a ship there at all, I mean Marcielle literally calls her, her little girl which doesn't sound very yuri to me lol. Just sounds like 2 best friends
@@bluestReacts That's a fair assessment. I will say, as someone who likes the ship, that I'm pretty sure that line can be a little bit ambiguous depending on the translation. But also something I like about their dynamic is that - even if you read it platonically - there's some clear tension in their relationship about the fact that Marcille, who lives a lot longer, met Falin as a young teen and still sees her that way, even though Falin would probably prefer to be treated as an adult and have their friendship develop accordingly. For example, if you see the way Falin's eyes change after Marcille says that line. Of course, this is a lot of extrapolation from... not all that much. But us yuri fans are used to doing this 😂
@@bluestReacts I can see it, but I can also see this as an elves thing, like when Marcille and Senshi where poking fun at Chilchuk for his age. Laios seem to be younger than Chilchuk and Falin is his younger sister, so there is that. But like Frieren see almost everyone as a child and that doesn't stop anyone from shipping her with Himmel, I can see a possible Marcille X Falin in the futur, I mean, the best friends to lover trope isn't uncommon.
Meshi and Frieren are by far my favorite fantasy manga series ever and it's so great that we're getting absolutely fantastic adaptations of both in the same year.
farlin just gained a bad ass D&D lore, she was resurrected by forbidden anciet magic using dragon flesh instead to restore her body, like damn
I yoinked this idea for my Draconic Sorcerer.

There's no denying Laios and Falin are siblings 😂😂

FARCILLE SCENE WAS SO PEAK

Gotcha gotcha
@@bluestReacts Btw, the couple next eps we will see more elves. And goddam, they look so feminine, even though some of them are male, just saying
@hexo_tn6583 that's a win for me
the mad magician is called the dungeon lord.. kind of like.. a dungeon master in a dnd game >: ) he makes all the rules in the dungeon
Yeah the more I see of this show the more it's very clearly directly inspired by DnD
17:45 it's kinra sketchy that kensuke ran away from fallin since he only jults when he's scared of a monster

Your reaction to the elf from the paintings was amazing

Don't you say that every episode? 😂 Just to be clear you are not wrong, imo it just keeps getting better too.
While Falin is now OP, I'm starting to worry about her mental state, same goes with Marcille.

Guess now she's borne of dragons lol. The consequences seem positive for now but I'm feeling nervous.
well, remade of dragon meat
A literal dragonborn
Falin squints cause she has poor eyesight.
And Falin is the protagonist of this show. I genuinely belive this.
6:54 Falin looks like she's covering her neck and eye... Spooky
manga readers had me thinking everything was joever 😭 can’t wait for what’s next
Seriously, had me thinking she wasn't coming out of this alive XD
@@bluestReacts super glad she’s back!! she seems like a fun character to explore
