The Dog Island is hella underrated! On the topic of Dog Sims, Dog's Life on PS2 is also good and very interesting and strange, developed by the same people who make Elite Dangerous and those Jurassic Park sims now.

There are other retro game stores that definitely helped inspire us to open a retro game store (like Pink Gorilla and Double Jump Video Games), but DKOldies wasn't one of them. For one thing I didn't really know that DKOldies existed when I opened the store and for another DKOldies doesn't have a physical store and only sells online. The main inspiration was just that it was always something I thought would be a really cool thing to do as a kid who grew up playing video games and going to game stores.
