Same here, when he failed a few times and trying to Remember the tips and said WHAT else man, I thought he was almost ready to quit then but when he did it he was so stoked. To him it was probably on the same level as a pro skater trying a new trick over and over then finally nailing it.

as a kid not knowing how to skate, i showed up to the park everyday and tried heal flips till the sun went down, never talked to anyone just kept to myself, months latter i landed one and the prk went nuts , tails taping , trucks smashing on metal and a high 5 from everyone there, as a 12 yer old kid who never had allot of moments it meant the world to me and is the reason i still skate at 40 .. so kool to see bobby get that moment with 2 legends, that is what its all about and why skateboarding will never go away , thanks guys keep it up

Bob we love you and this is one of the better podcasts ive seen. Love to see you healthy and honest youve never been stronger or funnier. Jason and Tony youre amazing! Dude legit... That pizza hut demo disk with THPS on it literally changed the entire course of my life for the better... The demo was only the warehouse and you could only pick Tony or Kareem to skate with... As a nine year old I knew that I needed to be a skateboarder... Like it really was that moment where I knew this was my thing... 23 years later and I'm still skating and have gotten to meet most the skaters from the original THPS... Because of the demo disk I was obsessed with Kareem, 5 years later Kareem, Devine calloway, Javier Nunez, and pat chanita are teaching me nose slides at an axion demo.... Not only skating, because the original soundtrack had the primus song Jerry was a racecar driver, I fell in love with the bass guitar and because of that game I've been a skater and a bassit for over 20 years...
YEEEESSS! that demo changed everything in so many ways

Definitely one of the best guest spots Bobby has done in a long time, especially since he didn't rely on his usual "shadow play" to be funny and was just riffing about life, his love for skateboarding and comedy. Very, very cool ep!

Before he would make promises or say he would do things with no intention of actually doing them, or canceling last minute. When I first saw this tigerbelly I really didn’t think he would come through, but remained hopeful.

This one, and the Hosoi are my two favorite episodes. Bobby Lee was both lovable, and irritating as always. I love watching him grow as a person, and I try to watch everything he does. The three of them had great chemistry. Lots of fun, but also opened up and got deep at times. Keep up the great work, and more great guests. 👍

10 mins in and this is already the best thing I've ever seen!!!!! I'm a 45 y/old grrl from Perth, Australia and I've got a new deck. Haven't skated in 20+ years and I'm about to go practice my ollies on my lawn. Back in the day, there was like, me and 3 other grrls who skated. Saw Tony at a demo in Fremantle Western Australia in the so called die off (circa '95, '96). Just lovin this throw back old skool movement!!!

I just stopped by to say that Jason and Tony are a good balance. Didn't expect to watch past 5 mins but now I'm 2/3 of the way through. I really like it.
Wow this takes me back! Sometimes I forget how much practice it took for me as a middle-schooler to get down the basics like this. I gotta hand it to Bobby, he learned a lot faster than my uncoordinated ass did! He'll be ripping half-pipes in no time. Being able to ollie, drop-in, and turn on a ramp reliably were rights of passage for me and my friends. Tony and Jason remind me of the older kids who taught me and my friends how to do all this stuff. They may have been drunk, stoned, or on opiates at times, but they really went out of their way to mentor the next generation of skaters. They never tried to act too cool or push their habits onto us. They never brought that stuff around us. They were good guys.
It was all for the love of skating and recognizing our common passion. I hope they're all healthy and happy today. I owe every skating highlight of mine to them. I had many cuts, bruises and abrasions, sprained and twisted ankles, hard knee/elbow slams, a cracked tailbone, broken tooth, and shattered wrist with reconstructive surgery, but I still miss it. Wish I felt as invincible now as I did as a teenager. Unfortunately, the reality of permanent injury, medical bills, and time off work have made me shy away from skateboarding, longboarding, and riding snowboards. In an ideal world, I'd find the time and money to do it all again. It really makes you feel alive in a way few things can.

I salute you Bobby boy for being so strong and doing whatever it takes in lofe to continue doing everything that ur doing and never look back. Hope you live life to the fullest and never settle for anything less
