      Hi, you've mentioned about your wrists pain years ago? I have similar issue and trying to warm them nice before any climbing, what was your idea to deal with it and make them immortal ? :)

    • @EmilAbrahamsson
      @EmilAbrahamsson  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@majkelb3057 I literally did the exercise I show in the video, but with a worse tool than the heavy roller. Once every session for maybe around a year until they were bulletproof, and since then I've had zero issues with my wrists.
      1. roll the roller "backwards".
      2. Load an amount that's heavy to lift, but you should be able to hold for a little while.
      3. Let the roller slide through your hand, try to keep the flow as even as possible both on the sides but also how fast it drops.
      4. Let it extend to a straight position over around 10 seconds.
      Lattice has a few other exercises to do with it that I also think are great to check out 🙂

    Great vid! I think it might also be interesting to explore a backward lache move where you turn in the middle of the backswing. I think I've seen that done by someone on a World Cup and I have been thinking about situations in which that might be the better option.

    • @EmilAbrahamsson
      @EmilAbrahamsson  ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Ah mate funny you should mention that, I literally set something with that idea in mind like 4 days ago. It creates some very interesting ideas regarding momentum-usage

    Hey Emil - I have a quick question regarding your wrist pain:
    Where and how did it hurt? Was it during the move or right after releasing the move? Cuz I’m currently struggling a bit with wrist/forearm pain right after releasing a hold (also mostly slopers) and I didn’t really find a working solution up to now :(

    It‘ so funny that the lache founds his way to bouldering now. The „Lâche“ basically has it‘s roots in the „Methode Naturelle“ by George Hebert back in the days. Later on David Belle and the Yamakasi made a basic Parkour move out of it. I think if you really wanna train this move properly you can do this on the ground for example by focusing on a precised and controlled landing. For example landing on a large yoga block with just your toes is a great way to improve this skill. There are crazy people out there who can swing like 20ft++ and land on a railing. I think he was landing too high on the foot volume. Every attempt he stuck he landed much closer to the bottom on the screw on hold and every attempt he failed he was higher up usually on the volume and not on the screw on hold. I think landing higher up was preventing the hips from moving over the feet which is needed to stick the move.

      One of the reason the problems are more parkour-ish is cause they're trying to solve the issue of climbers having eating disorders. They don't wanna people starve themselves just so they can crimp a bit harder. With these kinda moves, you're kinda have to have some muscles to do them.
