No spare tire? Will the addition of a donut spare wheel add much to the vehicle cost? Flat-tire-anxiety (especially at night or during rainy days) versus range-anxiety: Which would worry you more over?
Nerding out over the kicks I realize this has no Sport mode. Nissan calls it the Smart mode. Apparently it is more fuel efficient than the Normal mode but more responsive than the Eco mode 🤓Anyway, any chance there would be a comparo between the 3 variants? Like is EL livable and “okay” or it would be more compelling to go for the VE? Would one be able to have the external camera as a dealer option for the VE? What exactly is given up if one forgoes the VL 360 camera aside?
Theoretically, possible. But not for very long. The idea of a series hybrid like the e-Power is no range anxiety because you have all the fuel stations available. By running it dry, you'll feel the range anxiety.
waiting for this. The lower variant Kicks easily are the better choice if you are on a tight budget. But between top spec Kicks vs Cross. I think Cross is a better option
@@wetsocksrichdad1928 I got a vl kicks. Wanted a mid spec model, but only the vl was available. No regrets so far. Just curious how it stacks up against the cross
The perception really depends on what you're benchmarking against. For a small car, it's quite good. The patch of SCTEX northbound after Dolores, however, is pretty much a bad spot for all cars and tires (droning) unless you're rolling in a supremely honed luxury car.
Agree, it is the most significant vehicle introduced this year. Even iwtrh a gas generator backup , it will prove BEV would be able to run in the Philippines. But i still waiting for the Wuling EV

I agree the top features available In Thailand will not be available here considering it’s a little more expensive than the top of the line Kicks Autech with blind spot monitoring, rear traffic cross alert, lane monitoring, intelligent cruise control and rear mirror camera. in short lacking in intelligent features compared with the Thai top of the line version.
@@VeeVeerawat Hi can you show me a video showing the existing Nissan Kicks in Thailand, the top of the line model AUTECH? i know it has ambient ligthing, and the leather seats are with color combinations.

It's a more complicated system since the small battery gets discharged and charged more, degrading it faster than a parallel one that can run of ICE and EV combined or at least either
This is one reason why I'm hesitant to buy this vehicle. The anxiety that you will get from hoping you don't get a flat tire at night, during rainy days, or if you are driving along a seedy neighborhood will be greater than their claimed range-anxiety 🤥
poor value vs Toyota Raize, use the extra cash to pay for gas. After 0% tariff legislation is passed for EVs in the country, pricey hybrids will be extinct.
You don't need sunroof in the Philippines, it's hot and humid.
I love my Kicks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If this Hybrid had been available, I'd have gotten it.
It's sad the fact that Nissan didn't release the new Nissan X-Trail E-Power here in the Philippines. It would be a 7-seater game changer
They might be testing the waters. If the e-kicks will sell here in the PH then other categories will follow.
Suzuki has that covered with their upcoming ertiga hybrid. Let's see how that goes
Not sure it would do so well, the xtrail is expensive enough as it is
Ive been waiting for it, but i hope nissan gets faster
Thanks for providing a review when using Kicks going up Baguio and downhill. In terms of gas consumption, is the car using a lot of gas going uphill ?

just had a flat tire last night but no problem because of a spare tire and a petron gas station was nearby so i ask for their assistaance

The question is how much the battery when its need to change?
Can 4 luggages (3 nos 29inches + 1no 26inches) fit in the luggage space
Hi Vince! Will the Kicks E-Power still run if you empty the tank but the battery is full?
Theoretically, possible. But not for very long.
The idea of a series hybrid like the e-Power is no range anxiety because you have all the fuel stations available. By running it dry, you'll feel the range anxiety.
So I guess one has to turn off regenerative braking when the battery is almost full and the vehicle is going downhill?
When are you going to do a comparo with the cross?

The Cross is bigger, but the Kicks feels like a more modern hybrid. -VP

Any news if Nissan will bring the bigger brother X-trail E-power? The kicks is a bit small for our family's preference.
How's NVH? I've seen one reviewer say it's noisy inside when on the highway, while another has said it's not bad overall

Said to be able to last entire lifetkme of the car with 8 years actual warranty on it.

Mga pasaway yan.
The car has a drivetrain similar to most provincial trains..
Congratulations to Nissan for creating the first no spare tire anxiety car
why they didnt discovered that kind of system earlier? Its cheaper compare to the parallel hybrid. If its only a 7 seater I will buy that👍🏼

It took me 3 days in my Kicks VL to figure out how to easily go from any other mode (P, R, D, B) to NEUTRAL. This guy wasn't able to. ;-)
Sorry naman

It's not a hybrid. You are mistaken
its a series hybrid
Let's be very honest here, no japanese brand or any other brands for the matter, can match the chinese in terms of great value at the moment.
