Yasmin's follow up single to 'On My Own' arrives in the shape of ethereal trip-hop infused anthem 'Finish Line', produced by man of the moment Labrinth.
Showcasing Yasmin's intensely moving vocals and knack for writing heartfelt, candid lyrics, the track has already had strong support from BBC 1Xtra and Radio 1 and been made hugely influential music blog Popjustice's Song Of The Day.

Still loving this song in 2024. It was not really a major hit back in 2011 but was definitely one of the best pop songs of the decade.

You can also love each other deeply in some cases love isn’t enough , I’m going through a breakup, even though I love the man to death I couldn’t make it work. Sometimes no matter how hard you try it comes to a end at some stage weather it’s your fault or the other persons. Sometimes trying harder makes it worse. What I get from this song is that they do love each other but it isn’t working hence the sparks like two magnets 🧲 that won’t connect.
This brings back memories from 2011, and I still remember the lyrics 😅 it’s crazy how pop song culture has changed since this though...

I always loved Yasmin I’m very upset her career didn’t take of like it should but thank you for this song Yasmin it’s a fucking banger , mixed with R and B and such dark tones plus what a word Finnish line , we don’t use that word I don’t know how she came up with such a creative song , simple like talking but being bleak with a light video with all the tones of a dying relationship.
