Looks great. At first, I am thinking the tank looks too short overall but could be a game design style. What 3D package do you guys use and am I able to submit ideas?
I agree with droid3r13, i think you all @Kixeye, should be doing more of these types of videos. show us what you have to go through to design up the concepts of the Units yall push out to the Game. and how it functions and looks as it Operates.
well, one thing i do know, is that the program they are using to make this thing is very very expensive... i used it in college... i wont say what it is, im not at liberty, but i used this program for 4 years, so i probably could be working at kixeye as well
nah, you gotta be licensed to own the full versions of this software ... you get it free in video game design classes, i used all of them, and 3dmax and photoshop are just the ones available to "Us" the full versions of what you get in school are waaaayyy more advanced than these... i still have the game engine and all the 3d software on my desktop right now, and laptop too.... i should be making this bread, what the hell am i doing? i got a bachelors degree in video game design, and a pc hard drive with 3d characters and all kinds of props i designed, textures added... the whole 100 yards... "100"
They do put a lot of work into units to make them look pretty,but no matter how pretty it looks,if it doesn't work as advertised,it's not worth using or having.
I play because it's a fun game. It doesn't mean I'm going to get every new & shiny toy that Kixeye puts in the game.Not till it has been proven to work as intended.
Is this the reason for why players need a High-End Gaming Computer just to have a smooth game. I couldn't help but notice the hundreds (if not thousands) of polygons and vertices that went into that one unit alone. This is not good for system performance, if you made Basic Silhouette versions of the units so that low-performance systems can operate, this would improve playability for most players. You can make a tank look fancy without making it fancy, I noticed you were using either 3DSMax or something like it.
Nice, I'd recommend using HyperX High-Speed RAM. I know it's top-end quality, and it will hurt a wallet. However, High-Speed transmission is better in most cases. Most processes don't use all 16GB or RAM at normal speed (1866 DDR4), you should use High-Speed (2133-2400 DDR4).
Thank you for the wonderful designs. I hope this weapon will be a beautiful beginning for 2018
alot of players are saying kixeye just taking people money and they never see their hard work
You are right;

I can only dream of playing War Commander running on a real 3D engine so we'd enjoy these unit aesthetics in it's full glory.
