A New Challenge: Circular Biomanufacturing (Jano Costard)| DLD Circular 23

Germany’s federal agency for disruptive innovation (SprinD) believes biotechnology can enable circular manufacturing at scale and low cost.
To this effect, SprinD will fund up to eight companies with about 40 million euros in its Circular Biomanufacturing challenge alone.
“We need to get mainstream, and we need to find a solution that makes circular manufacturing the default for manufacturing in this century”, Jano Costard, the agency’s Head of the Challenge program, explains.
