This ring looks so much better than the one that was used with the champagne dust. I feel like most of the designs look better without so much dust to cover all the beauty of what you put into it
I going to making 3 coloured opel inlay ring for my wife after watching your videos you have inspired me to create a ring of my own I definitely be sharing it on your Facebook page once I done also a special thanks for making my wedding ring its amazing it's great craftsmanship
I am so happy this vid was made! I am at this point where all I have is a dremel. Super insightful for me. I have so many tips and notes for my next ring until I get myself a lathe.
I always love your videos. You’re so thorough. You have a calm voice and the way you explain things and try to make everything as easy as possible for everyone is so admirable. You seem like a genuinely nice dude. It would be very cool to meet you one day. I can’t wait to try my first ring this weekend with the stuff I ordered from you recently. Thanks again.
This is how I make rings, but instead of a mandrel, I use a battery powered drill. Works good. I've made some pretty damn good rings. Oh, but I make the blank itself by hard soldering the silver.
Ok thanks you, i am dad from Portugal, 52 years old. When I manage to raise funds to pay for one or two subscriptions I'll do it. I've been unemployed since 2020. The time of the pandemic made things more complicated and the Portuguese state said I'm not entitled to help because my wife earns a little more than two salaries... and we have children. .. but I love your videos and I would love to make something for myself and my children and sell it.
The question i got is how do you protect the metals in the ring such as the pyrite, cause pyrite itself can't really touch water, u less that's what the polish does
really cool. Makes me wonder if it's still comfortable to wear with the etching on the inside of the ring or if it makes any difference at all? or if it's possible to not etch the inside of the ring.
There is actually surprisingly little texture difference with etching Damascus, because you sand down the damascus so the ridges become significantly less pronounced. The sanding is what makes the whiter color show.
How long is the wait for a Timascus rings? I’m local in Utah an I’m going to use it as my wedding band my fiancé is looking to place the order for it this week
Yes, you could and then wrap the edges of the ring with electrical tape so you don’t ruin the etch. but its still a bit tricky to not ruin the etch while sanding and polishing the inlay even with the tape.
Make a the discolor the ring by heating it up and and putting Bevell's in the ring. I know it is a basic ring I just would like to see you make it please
@@vambat3523 stradman is a TH-camr and Patrik bought a car from him and he promised that he would make a ring from his stock Lamborghini aventador exhaust.

Muriatic Acid is interesting stuff. Probably one of the nastiest things I've experienced was getting hydrogen chloride (anhydrous HCl) in my sinuses. It wasn't pleasant. It doesn't stay anhydrous long in the sinuses. Hydrate HCl is, pretty much, muriatic acid or hydrochloric acid. Luckily it was a very minute amount.
Hi mot sure if you'll read this comment. I've been watching a show that I remember watching as a kid. It's called Ironman armored adventures. In the show a billion called Mandrin collect these Ten ring called Makluan Rings. Can you try and recreate all ten and possibly make them glow. I haven't seen then anywhere to be bought. I'm thinking at some point to cosplay the mandrin. I want to see how I should make them. Whether they're made of metal and resin. Who knows

I'm glad I found this video. I would very much like to start making fashion rings. Maybe to sell, maybe just go give them to friends or family.
Very rad dremel gang!
Very nice I thinking about trying this soon thanks
Hey Patrick. Love the ring without the lathe. I think i will try this. 👍🏽☺️
Very cool ring, and I like the contrast between all the materials, the damascus is beautiful
I met you at the car meet Saturday! Great video! Thanks for showing the GT!
I watch your videos because your rings are awesome and your videos satisfied me so much♥️ love from India
Thanks for the video was wanting to always make my own ring but dont have a lathe
Wow nice ring
Just received two of your ring kits. I like the quality.
By the way, do we need to degrease the new rings?
Shouldn’t need to
Like your work
Now you just need to make a ring OUT OF a lathe!
Looks very beautiful!
Love your videos and your creativity keep it up
Could I polish with a cabbing machine? I would be using ceramic or titanium or stainless steel. Thanks.

Oh, this title sounds familiar haha 😉
I’ve been making no lathe ring tutorials for over 3.5 years at this point...
Do you still sell the 3 grades of CA glue + accelerator and debonder? They were really good products and I don’t see them on your website.
I have made a ring without a lathe before (because I don’t have one) it was really fun and easy! (kinda)
Have you ever got pot holes. Mine are small but they are appeasing
Do you send to Portugal, if so do you think will have any problem at customs.
I will double check but I’m pretty sure we don’t have many issues with Portugal customs.
Any way your subscription boxes supply South Africa?
Love the ring! Can you do a obsidian ring
Minecraft?
@@isaacmason3939 yes
Do you heat treat your Damascus? You can get a better pattern contrast if you do. Also etching in instant coffee helps that too.

What a nice kit👌🏻
I was expecting you use resin. I am amazed that CA Glue can give results like that.
LEO CA is amazing huh .i love the polish you can get on it . But don’t push too hard or you can burn thru it.
Man this just makes me so happy to own a lathe lol we definitely take them for granted
Beautiful seriously I want one
Beautiful. What is the function of the Peroxide?
I may buy the blackout ring kit and a Damascus blank and see how it turns out
When etching the damascus, does the acid affect the inlay?
Great work
Love all the videos keep it up.
What is the name of this one or in what series on your site?
How do I sign up for the monthly kits?
Where can i get small quantity of iron meteorite i saw you sent it to alex and its catch my interest
I was wondering how you dispose of the acid bath once your done. There must be a safe way,.
The question i got is how do you protect the metals in the ring such as the pyrite, cause pyrite itself can't really touch water, u less that's what the polish does
That sandpaper works best if you soak it in water for 5 minutes before you use it. I paint cars and have to do a lot of sanding
Where did you get those buffing wheels you used with your dremel? I didn't see them listed on the supplies website.
Does the two different steels antique differently ? Would be cool to see the pattern without the raised elements
Not really on stainless Damascus like this ring is. But on a carbon Damascus it might do get interesting patina effects.
This is so cool thank you
use charcoal powder to fill in the background and the gaps . really good for making stuff stand out
Bellissimo. È un peccato non poter avere i tuoi prodotti in Italia.

what is the diameter of the mandrel shank? I was wondering if it would be something that I could put into a drill for sanding and polishing purposes.
.5” it should fit most drill chucks
Cool
Question. Would it be alright to etch the ring first?
Yes, you could and then wrap the edges of the ring with electrical tape so you don’t ruin the etch. but its still a bit tricky to not ruin the etch while sanding and polishing the inlay even with the tape.
