  • This video is about making a Pine and Granite bench for the workshop. The main aim is to have a flat surface for machine tool prep, DIY assemblies and the occasional welding job.
The results are a beautiful piece of heavy duty furniture that feels criminal to use as a workbench so i mainly use as a workstation desk.......
Hope you enjoying coming along this journey whilst i use the CNC router, woodworking techniques and this fantastic granite worktop to make this table.
The idea: make a workbench with a flat and durable surface that can take the occasional welding job.
Reality: Looks to good to be used.........

Really nice build! How much does the whole table weigh and how flat is it?

Hi sorry for the late reply. The granite alone was 100kg so i suspect the table is around 150kg or so. I haven't measured the flatness yet. The longest precision parrarels i have are 400mm long and no light shines under. One day ill measure this better
