Ang alam ko dahil sa Insurance yan kaya tinatapon kahit okay pa. 100% na insurance yata nakukuha ng mga grocery stores kapag idi dispose nila yung foods galing sa supplier. Pero kapag pinamigay nila 30% lang yata makukuha nila. Not sure about the exact percentage pero mas malaki nakukuha ng mga capitalista kapag itatapon kesa ipamigay
Boy oh boy, I would be in heaven canning and freezing all that fruit. I would can Apple sauce, freeze strawberries, can pomegranate/orange jam, can orange marmalade, can apple pie filling and whatever else I could think of! The red onions I would keep til they start sprouting, then separate the sprouts and plant them. I just planted 4 sprouts off 1 red onion.

When i was a storekeeper at one of the Big store here in California..I USED to put a lot of near expiry foods in the dumpsters..Ako din ang nanghihinayang sa ginagawa ko..but My "Boss" doesn't want me to bring it home..Imagine jars of expiry nuts..Like with 6 months expiry dates..Tinatapon ko lang..Binabantayan lang ng mga Mexicans kung anong oras ako nagtatapon at pasokin ang dumpster..
Here's a tip. Talk with the branch/location manager and ask if before they throw it away, you could be alerted. Some managers are pretty nice in spite of it being against policy. Before they throw it in, they place it on the side and you could just pick it up. That way, that protects them from a lawsuit but also you dont need to wade through the dumpster.
Nakaka tuwa ang mga Dumpster sites nila. It’s very clean and they really just dump those items as is, na nasa box, etc. As long as it’s still good for consumption, why not let other people who would be able to make use of it have it. Wow! It was so satisfying watching you guys do this. You also help, reduce food wastage. You guys are amazing.

When i was a storekeeper at one of the Big store here in California..I USED to put a lot of near expiry foods in the dumpsters..Ako din ang nanghihinayang sa ginagawa ko..but My "Boss" doesn't want me to bring it home..Imagine jars of expiry nuts..Like with 6 months expiry dates..Tinatapon ko lang..Binabantayan lang ng mga Mexicans kung anong oras ako nagtatapon at pasokin ang dumpster..
Here's a tip. Talk with the branch/location manager and ask if before they throw it away, you could be alerted. Some managers are pretty nice in spite of it being against policy. Before they throw it in, they place it on the side and you could just pick it up. That way, that protects them from a lawsuit but also you dont need to wade through the dumpster.

Nakaka tuwa ang mga Dumpster sites nila. It’s very clean and they really just dump those items as is, na nasa box, etc. As long as it’s still good for consumption, why not let other people who would be able to make use of it have it. Wow! It was so satisfying watching you guys do this. You also help, reduce food wastage. You guys are amazing.
Do you can all the fruits you get ? You can make a lot of jam. Soak them in vinegar instead of the baking soda. It doesn't leave a residue or taste.

Galing no kahit na nasa dumpster na pwede pa.kasi yang nuong ako nasa america every five days pinapalitan ang produse at binibigay sa charity.ako naman bibilhin ko yong one box na 50cent lang.then yong kamatis frozen ko or gawin kong tomato katsup.mabuhay kayong magasawa.saludo ako sa inyo.dahil marunong kayo sa buhay walang arte.mabait ang husband mo.god bless your family.

I'm afraid my Filipino is no good :) I tried to say Merry Christmas in Filipino to my Step-Mom one year and it gave her a good giggle . Next year I wrote it lol. Iv see nothing wrong with stopping so much wasted food from going to the landfill. Good luck with your diving :)

hugasan mo na lang ng venigar with water para ma sanitize siya.nag work ako sa grocery store. may mga juice na tinatapon kasi mag mga costomer na nag change ang isip nila.ilagay lang kahit saan. kailangan kasi naka ref. at mga produce.gaya ng prutas.kung may sira sa isang bag itapon talaga nila.
