I hate and love this scene at same time. They’re acting but they’re not acting. They both really mean what they’re saying and they know it, regardless of the reasons they’re doing this for
Another time, another place, another us. Sara knew Neil meant it. Neil knew that Sara meant it. It was so close for them, but at the same time, it was so far for them. I wish she saw him after he escaped. I wish he asked her hand in marriage again then. I wish she said yes again then. I wish unlike now, they would keep their words then.
"Make it look good...... that's my job." One of the few times Neal actually regretted living the life of a Con man. If he didn't, the proposal could've been real.
It’s too bad this wasn’t real, Sarah was my favorite love interest for Neal. She was okay with skirting the law on occasion but never crossed over to the criminal side. By comparison, though we barely knew her, I never liked Kate very much, Alex and Neal were too similar so it never would have worked and Rebecca would have been a good choice if she hadn’t turned out to be a psycho killer who wasn’t even named Rebecca.
srayj i never liked Kate either, they never really showed Neal and Kate have that connection, i never even understood why Neal did anything and everything for Kate except for the fact she was a plot device. Neal and Sara had a real connection and real chemistry and I'm honestly surprised they just made Sara leave and Neal never found his true love. They reallt shouldve had Neal and Sara link arms in the Series Finale in Paris walking towards the Eifel Tower. Oh well
i would say she was the best not just because the chemistry was there and they look good while being a couple, i loved that Sarah actually cared for him. what i mean is Sarah cared for him enough to say i can understand you can bend the law from time to time this is how this world works, and you need the thrill of it, but i don't want you to break it, because you can go to jail and/or put yourself in danger. That is why i think Sara was the best for him, but my opinion has always been unpopular, i think Sara the way I think of Skyler White, Walter White's wife in breaking bad who everybody hated because she didn't want her husband to become a drug kingpin, she even went as far as help him wash his drug money hoping in exchange for him leaving that business.
I completely agree, I always found it ironic because Kate is supposed to be the most poignant love interest in Neal’s life but they didn’t have much chemistry on screen, she was kinda dull. Alex was cool actually and I liked what they did with her, she was a recurring character that always caused trouble and they flirted but were never a proper thing which worked well I think. I didn’t like Rebecca; again found her quite boring and then when she screwed over my boy Caffrey she was completely dead to me 😂😂 For me Sara was the best, they had great chemistry, she was very sexy, clever and bit of a bad girl but really cared for him and I like their story. Wish the writers put these two together in the end. But I honestly think they probably ended up together anyway
Jon B given how Neal grew up, perhaps she was his first love, it’s easy to see things in them that aren’t there and overlook the glaring flaws that are.

Honestly, I like the idea of a leverage crossover. In France, he meets Nate and Sophie, they get to chatting, Parker’s begging Nate and Sophie to come back, Neal takes over leverage, Sara helps out with the cons sometimes and they’ve got their nice thing going on and Neal finds ways to make insurance fraud interesting for the white collar devision
I was never big fan of Sara but compared to kate who was sooo boring and Rebecca who was a sociopath, Sara seemed perfect middle ground. Alex was an interesting option too , but sbe was more of a devil on his sholder
The problem with Alex was that the two would never fully trust each other. They are both Con's to the core, and they know it. Can't have a real relationship without trust. I agree Kate sucked, though thats mostly a writing problem, and Rebecca was just a weird choice lol. I liked Sara, and I thought they wrote the relationships evolution really well. Plus besides Kate, Sara was the hottest anyways lol
Sarah was the best love interest. So sad they didn’t bring her back at the end! Kate was badly written and given such a tiny screen time to have the audience really like her. Plus, Peter didn’t like her.

I hope that Sara makes it to the reboot and as ending of the reboot they become a pair ( of married) of insurance recovery experts. Heck, that could be the start of a new series.
If the series revived, I’d like the storyline to be Neal working for Sara in London as a “White Collar bounty hunter” at her branch’s insurance company.
