    Excellent topic. When thinking of big names, Heisenberg, Hahn, and Warburg come to mind. I was just watching a video about Marie Curie last night. She won two Nobels in two different areas---physics and chemistry. She was originally from Poland and named the chemical element polonium. Germany was known for growing many great scientists and engineers, one big reason I'm interested in learning German. Quiz: what American movie about the space race did the quote "our Germans are better than their Germans" come from?

      @@learngermanwithfalk It was the movie "The Right Stuff". A movie about the space race between the then USSR and the United States. Of course Operation Paperclip was an integral part of the race to space.
