  • Just some DJI goggle dvr footie of me tuning the XL10 from iflight rc, i just slapped on some new 1045 props from MASTER AIR SCREW. man these props are so nice! so smooth and its only getting better! betaflight 4.3 was supposed to be a bit tricky to tune a 10 inch, but the twinG f7 50a stack makes it simple!

Sad this is the only video i could find on these props, im gonna use em on my 10 inch build. Only question i have is how flimsy are they do they flex at all like other large biblades?

They hold up pretty good. Better than I thought they would.

    How did you tune it

I started off by shutting off the dynamic dampening and feed-forward by lowering the sliders all the way to zero. Take a 30-second flight feel the motors. If they are warm lower d. I lower d almost all the way. Go take another flight. Feel weird? Lower p. Does it feel Twitchy at low throttle? Lower d. Does it start feeling good? Raise the feed-forward slider back to the one position. Take another flight. Almost there? Raise I. Almost there but not quite? Raise feed-forward to the 1.2 position... now that that has the feel...you can mess with your rates and master multiplier. Find your throttle mid by seeing where you quad likes to lift off of the ground.. my quad in this vid is set at 15% throttle mid, and 45% throttle expo.

Black box filter tune stock pids first. Simple 30 sec flight should do. Then onto pid tool box and do the steps each time you make a log. Should be able to to 5 or 6 logs per pack. 3 packs to ripping!

@@kerrymillar4981 yes I did use black box and PID toolbox both are very easy to use and there's a ton of videos on TH-cam that will give you specifics. Although it is not a hundred percent necessary. All the stuff that I gave you try it by feeling the quad out. Main thing to check for is Hot Motors! You can leave stock filters without missing too much with that. Other than that it's all about the sound of the quad and the feel of the sticks.
