    This is a great spot. Right across the street from this landing is a small house that's an Airbnb . They have an outdoor grill and two Kayaks. My son and I go there frequently to fish, paddle around the river. Thanks for sharing.

    September 17th 2018 Little River reached 28.80 feet and 33,000 CFS, which makes it the worst flood on record for this River. This flood was considered a 500-year+ flood event.The gage is just up from where y'all put in at. The old record was 20 feet set back on September 18th 1945.

      Past hurricanes destroyed nottoway and appomattox rivers, it's a shame when it happens. Pretty as that river is I bet before the hurricane it was spectacular, looks like a place I'd love to fish. I mostly just boat fish, but got a cheap yak to try and see how I like it, this vid just inspires me more. If you ever give VA rivers a try I think the nottoway might be worth it. Very small but diverse river, always been my favorite river.

    But I like to know is a wet suit ok for multi day kayak camping to keep you warm enough in winter ?

    • @RiverKingsKayak
      @RiverKingsKayak  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      He is a big time year round surfer here in NC. He is very used to wet suits and how they work. In my experience, if you are in a pinch, it can get you through. However, NOTHING beats a drysuit. For longer extended trips, the wetsuit will have its decided downsides. One of which is that it is in fact, wet. Putting that on in the am can be very rude! LOL. But yes, he stayed plenty warm.
