- Tropical Storm Beryl brought howling winds and torrential rain to southeast Texas on July 8, killing at least three people, flooding highways, closing oil ports, canceling more than 1,000 flights and knocking out power to more than 2.5 million homes and businesses.

People are still smiling after hurricane hit.
Houston is in Harris County. Five people in Harris County were killed by falling trees on their houses. Another was drowned enroute to work - He was Information Police Officer for the Houston Police Department. He couldnt reach anybody when he drowned in his vehicle.
Yeah. Very sad and unfortunate, but a good lesson and experience to prepare better for the next ones.

Texas infrastructure very poor. Beryl hit Caribbean at category 5 and the Caribbean were more prepared, more developed and have support from other Caribbean nations where as Texas , a USA oil state which was supposed to be a first world nation now looks like a fourth world sewer treatment plant.
