That chromatography really surprised me. I did not expect that bright orange. I have a bottle of that ink, so I may have to play with my chromatography paper...
A warm brown? Now you're speaking my language! This is a personal favorite of mine too. I tend to match my inks to the season, so I find myself reaching for the brown/orange inks come autumn -- this ink, Diamine Ancient Copper and Terracotta, Monteverde Brown Sugar, SBRE Brown, MontBlanc Single Malt (which, honestly, is unreasonably priced, but it smells great)...so many (too many?) good options. But it's not yet autumn, so I'll stick with my blues and greens for the next few months. Do you have any habits for how you select an ink to use for everyday writing? Do you match it to season, pen, mood, or anything like that?
I more match an ink to a mood... but there are a couple pens that I have a certain ink that just keeps going in them. For the most part though, it's a next pen gets the next ink I am working on for review, lol.
This was my second Edelstein ink, the first being Star Ruby, from my first ever Pelikan Hub event. I really like Smoky Quartz. It’s a good interesting brown, and that fast dry time keeps it useful in many situations. If I ever find it at a good price, I intend to get the matching M205! Or is it a 200? Either way, this is my favorite brown ink.

Brown has a Hugh opportunity to show a lot of complexity in the chromatography. This just didn't skip the chance.
Ditto, this was the first Edelstein bottle i got and i am on my second bottle as well. I love this ink.
I always love inking this one up.

Don't search to hard of I bet you will find the M205 at a good price.
This could be a brown for me. Hmm. Maybe next month.
It is still very easy to find at stores.
